Pretty nice hotel in a great location

even though it was a bit more pricey than i was hoping for, it was the christmas holiday and i booked on the fly from another hotel in the city early the same morning i checked in. the front desk was very helpful and let us check in early. pool was awesome - very quiet and we were often the only ones there. room was clean and comfy. can walk to scott market in about 5 minutes and there is a bunch of really good local breakfast places around the corner (we didn't opt for hotel breakfast).

Enjoy the stay as they have great facilities in the hotel. My family enjoyed very much. The rooms are clean and spacious. The location is very good, we can move around quite easily.

Very convenient area, can move around easily. It is near one of the famous local market in Yangon. Won't have problem walking around by yourself and it is also near the shopping area.

the hotel is a bit aged, but it the people were very nice and attentive! the location was good, as he zoo and the largest city pagoda was a 2-3 min taxi ride. small things to beware is that usd accepted but the bill must be in pristine condition and be the big faced bills. also beware of the taxis at the hotel that wait for fares, their prices will be a bit inflated from taxis flagged down. overall it was a good experience and i would recommend going for an asian adventure.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It worth it to go to the Pagoda, the detail of the buildings are outstanding! Just make sure you have cash on you when going, b/c there is a charge for foreigners.

we've a very pleasant stay in park royal hotel yangon, and the 8th floor (orchid club room) is superb service. every staff member is caring and initiative giving you a hand when you needed. they are kind to our son; the room service team were creating a towel-craft each day after they cleaning our room. very recommended.

we stayed in the parkroyal hotel yangon for 3 nights. the hotel is very clean, good maintained, the food is good and reasonable priced. the staff is very friendly
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
be aware that outside of the hotel young man try to sell there tour guide services. the service is rather of very low quality (no english speaking driver, very basic cars - you get much better cars at other locations!). be extremly careful, even if they show you lots of business cards and recommendations. be sure not to give any money before you have ended the trip and be sure you can talk to the driver and check the car before you start the trip! we finally deceided not to do such tour and got a much better guide in mandalay city and even the rates are better and the car quality his much higher compared to yangon!

施設は新しくはないが、綺麗なホテル。従業員の対応もテキパキしていて非常に過ごしやすかった。立地的にも分かりやすい場所であり、タクシーのドライバーにも伝えやすいホテル。
ヤンゴン滞在は初めてであったが、ホテルのおかげで、非常に快適に過ごせた。

２回目に滞在したとき、前回の滞在で利用していないのに電話代の請求が残っている、などと言われ、「私個人でホテルに支払ったから私に２ドル払え」とスタッフに言われ不愉快な思いをしました。そして、料金設定にも疑問が残ります。フロントデスクだと通常料金で、すぐ３メートルとなりのツアーデスクからだとディスカウントになる…という不思議なことを言われ、そして言われた通りにすると、ツアーデスクとフロントデスクで内線電話で話し始め、新しい料金を提示されました。しかもアジア人料金と日本人＋欧米人料金がある、とのこと。そういうところで日本人だと何故ぼったくられなきゃいけないのか、と腹が立ちました。現地人料金は３分の１くらいですし、それを知ってしまうと、同じくらいの料金で最近ならもっといいホテルがあったのかも…と思います。部屋は見た目は綺麗ですが、カーペットが汚いので靴を脱ぐ気になれませんでした。プールも写真とは大違いです。いいことは朝食の種類が豊富で美味しいことくらいです。外に出るとすぐ物乞いがやってくるのも辟易してしまいました。
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
周りの道がとにかく悪いので、歩いて行けるところに主な観光名所はなく、全てがタクシーを利用することになります。
