big swimming pool, hotel staff

slightly away from shops or city centre, food in the restaurants just so-so, internet expensive

I stayed at Sedona Yangon for 3 nites on 2 separate occassions. I found the hotel to be nice and staff very friendly and helpful. Location wise for us is a little far from shops unlike Traders Hotel that's within walking distance to market etc. However the room is clean and breakfast is good, except we are not too impressed with dinner at chinese, Italian restaurants and coffee lounge, they are just so-so. Also to use internet in hotel is very expensive.

Friendly and very helpful staff, good and polite service, good and clean hotel, nice hotel ambiance.

security checks rather a bit overdone ?

Overall a pleasant hotel to stay in. Hotel facilities are good and adequate. Very nice location, opposite Inya Lake. Hotel staffs have been very accommodating and friendly. Very helpful when we had a special request for our 3yr old. Only downside was that it is quite a bit of a distance from downtown Yangon. Proximity towards shopping areas is NOT within walking distance...need to grab a taxi. Overall still a worthwhile stay.

Shopping Tip : Bargain at everything....from taxi fare to shopping !!!

Peaceful comfortable place to stay in Yangon! Guest Rating: 9.3

Friendly staff, well-spoken English, gym with individual TV's, tennis courts with a coach for hire, large swimming pool, excellent food & dining, in-room Cable TV plus extra movies, great view of lake, takes credit cards, good service, easy access to city center,($3-$4 US),helpful business center but with the usual Myanmar governmental limitations

A bit out of the city center but makes up for it by having great lake views and close shopping. The travel concierge is a weakness

This is an excellent hotel that charges a reasonable price for its services and amenities. The staff is well-spoken in English and tried and succeeded to make my stay extremely special. It is nicely situated in a quiet part of town with great views of Inya Lake which is just across the street. One of the better shopping centers is a safe 10 minute walk away. The hotel has a wide array of sports activities available and several dining areas serving a wide-variety of international foods. I would definitely stay here again!!

-Located in good location - 15 mins drive to downtown -Pool is big

-Dirty -They need to do more maintenance -Staff at swimming pool counter is not friendly

I stayed at this hotel for one night in November. This hotel is supposed to be the best in Myanmar. But,I think the hotel needs more maintenance. Rooms are quite small but pool is quite big. But, staffs at swimming pool counter was not helpful and quite arrogant. We had to leave very early to catch a flight, so we didn't have time to have any food. The good thing is it is 30 mins drive from airport and 15 min drive to downtown. There is also a big lake next to hotel. Overall, it would have good great, but it turned out to be only good as 3 stars hotel.

On the whole, a value for money hotel. Very responsive front desk staff and the bell section too. I would reccomend this hotel to all travelers to Yangon.

I had a problem with the lights in the bathroom and upon calling front desk someone came up in a matter of minutes and had the problem solved in no time. There is an excellent Italian restaurant at the hotel, I had one of the best seafood pastas there!

Shopping Tip : Go to Yankin Center nearby to buy anything you need. It is a very good supermarket, but you will pay the price. Definitely more expensive than the local market but worth the look. It is a very western version of a supermarket so if you're a foreigner you will feel at home. And at Scotts/Bogyoke Market remember to bargin!

There was no alarm clock in the guestroom; as Myanmar has UTC +6.5hr, you might get confused what time it is. I recommend you to pack your clock. Automated wake-up service was available, however.

Strangers at the local hotel is not typical, large pool.

Too far from downtown

The exterior is good, you guys are a little aging. In between the airport and downtown location, the business district by taxi to around 500 yen (-negotiation) takes 15 minutes. Poole is a large facility, with tennis courts, it is good to relax. Room is a bit old, but narrow, it is the asking price RIZONABURU, will not complain. It's hasty breakfast.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The walk to his home under house arrest in his SUCHI 5 minutes.
