Yangon's finest
Build quality superceeds any other hotel in Yangon. Service by very friendly staff is impeccable. The Bar on 2nd floor is the perfect afterhours business meeting place in Yangon
Brilliant as always

Ok
location, staff, free breakfast
You take taxi to everywhere in Yangon so the location does not really matter. If i could choose again, I would have stayed in the Governor's residence instead.

As good as it gets
central location, comfy bed, top breakfast
hard to be critical of this place - it is similar to other shangrilas and the staff are excellent. Central location next to the market and business area. 2km walk to the main temple and a short cab to the waterside area. Bed was comfortable and room real nice. Paid for an upgrade to a suite for just $50-60 which was great. Only main drawback is that the building (and namely the glass windows) are not well insulated so even on the upper floors and at night you are subject to quite a hit of traffic noise, particularly since Yangon drivers use the horn a lot Gym, bfast and spa was much bigger and better than expected Pool was a bit dated but bar/cafe staff good. On the hotter days because it is walled off - there is little/no breeze so the pool area is almost unbearable at times I'd stay again definitely. Hard to imagine any other chain doing a better job in Yangon for a while yet

Heart of Yangon
Location to downtown Yangon, breakfast buffet spread, helpful staff
Good location in downtown Yangon which is walking distance to Chinatown and a stone's throw from Scott market and Parkson. Buffet breakfast was impressive with a wide variety. Liked the gym too with a decent size. Swimming pool is a little narrow at one end due to the jacuzzi jets and shallow end. Bathroom is a little small as well with no separate shower stall. Friendly and helpful staff helped.

good business hotel
great service, nice big room , good location
Clean hotel with big nice room. great service by staff, always accommodating. Very comfortable stay, with space to be working out from the hotel. room service's food is nice though you can get local food around the hotel at a fraction of the price. near to scott market. Traffic is very bad in yangon but nothing to do with the hotel.

Great hotel in Yangon
Room, Welness, Dining
Great rooms with good confort. The lounge on the 21st floor in very nice with good drinks and food. Very friendly staff. I had a great check-in experience, straight from the Hotel limousine that picked us up at the Airport to warm welcome at the hotel entrance and straight to the room where the check-in formalities where done. No waiting.

Another wonderful Shangri-la experience
Horizon club facilities, impressive rooms, good service
Another great stay at the shangri-la. Was the best option in Yangon and didn't disappoint. This is not comparable to facilities at Shangri-la hotels in developed countries however it was a great stay, friendly staff, super clean rooms and horizon club upgrades available at check in for US$40 a night (2 people) ensured that we had a great experience. Highly recommended.
