Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

The staff of the Cosy was amazing. They went out of their way to make sure we were well cared for. The room was very clean and in a good location to see all the sights. It is very good value for the money.

Helpful staff, comfortable beds, good location

I had a great stay with Cosy Hotel. I came in with no specific plans, and they helped me determine the best options and also helped me book everything. they have a friendly driver who is available to take you on any trips in the area. From the central location, it is easy to walk around all of bhaktapur. Fruit pancake for breakfast is delicious

The hotel is in a good location in the street leading to Potters Square. We had a room that was large & clean with double glazed windows. The power is out a lot but they have backup lighting so you can always see in the room. There is a TV & plenty of hot water. There is a rooftop restaurant & we enjoyed sitting there in the sun on our arrival & also had dinner there. The staff are friendly & helpful & will bring you a much needed hot water bottle at bedtime.

Its my frist time stay Bhktapur, and the 2 nights we staied there will be best memories while in Nepal.
The room is very clean and people so nice, and also quite quiet in the night. Our room face to local square, and close by pottey plaza, that will be easy find so many different suprises while you stay here.
We can commucate and play with local residenter & kids, special for my son, he became the star in the square, everyone knew him and joyful everyday!
Cosy hotel, the best value place while you in Bhktapur!

What a disappointment !
They give you a bed to sleep in...

Amongst the six hotels we recently visited in Nepal, this one was the most expensive. And it was also - BY FAR - the worse one.
There is only electricity during the NIGHT. Say from 1am to 5am. You may have a great flat screen TV and A/C, but without electricity they are just useless. But surely, you pay for such amenities.
Many reviews mentioned "plenty of hot water". The water we got was barely lukewarm, and there was so few water that we could nearly count the drops. We tried hot water again in the morning, in vain.
The restaurant was terrible. The table was definitively dirty and the service atrociously slow. Obviously the tablecloths are nearly never washed. We took two meals in this "restaurant" and in both cases we had to wait nearly 50 minutes to see something arriving, while we were the only customers waiting for food.
The room itself was so-so. Although quite clean, it had no convenient place to open our bags. More importantly we were given a room above a narrow street, and it was terribly noisy everytime a motorbike was passing nearby (i.e. every 2 minutes, during the whole evening). Fortunately we were able to change to a quieter room, above the inner courtyard.
Hmmm... I am sure the staff was friendly and they have many excuses for all these annoyances. But, how could I recommend a place with so many issues. One can have as many inconveniences for much cheaper price...

Everything You Could Ask For
Excellent location, warm and friendly service, nice rooms and comfortable beds
9.7
I highly recommend Cosy Hotel to anyone who's looking for a place to stay in Bhaktapur. It is conveniently between near Taumadhi Square and Pottery Square, and Durbar Square is a few minutes walk from it too. The hotel even has it's own courtyard where neighboring families dry their pottery. There's a small Buddhist temple right on the very same courtyard where devotees pay their respects early in the morning. So it is very interesting to watch these activities right from the comforts of your own room, all you need to do is open your window.
Cosy is one of the favorite hotels i've stayed in. It lives up to it's name, the room can get very cosy that's its sometimes difficult to get out of bed. It also gets a bit more chilly inside the room than outside for some strange reason. When guests can very cold at night, the staff provides hot bags which is a very thoughtful gesture. The rooms are big however, the bathroom is quite small but that's just a minor problem. Hot water works well (just have to wait for 10 minutes to let the water get warm) and the internet at this hotel is the best one i've had in the whole of Nepal.
Of course, the one thing that makes Cosy stand out is it's excellent service - everyone does it with a smile, from the reception to the bell boys that also work on the rooftop restaurant. Not to forget, the rooftop restauarant provides excellent views of life in Bhaktapur as well as the distant mountains.
I'd choose Cosy Hotel again when I go back to Bhaktapur.
Travel tip:
Taumadhi Square is just a round the corner from Cosy Hotel.
