I had a great stay with Cosy Hotel. I came in with no specific plans, and they helped me determine the best options and also helped me book everything. they have a friendly driver who is available to take you on any trips in the area. From the central location, it is easy to walk around all of bhaktapur. Fruit pancake for breakfast is delicious

Everything You Could Ask For

I highly recommend Cosy Hotel to anyone who's looking for a place to stay in Bhaktapur. It is conveniently between near Taumadhi Square and Pottery Square, and Durbar Square is a few minutes walk from it too. The hotel even has it's own courtyard where neighboring families dry their pottery. There's a small Buddhist temple right on the very same courtyard where devotees pay their respects early in the morning. So it is very interesting to watch these activities right from the comforts of your own room, all you need to do is open your window.
Cosy is one of the favorite hotels i've stayed in. It lives up to it's name, the room can get very cosy that's its sometimes difficult to get out of bed. It also gets a bit more chilly inside the room than outside for some strange reason. When guests can very cold at night, the staff provides hot bags which is a very thoughtful gesture. The rooms are big however, the bathroom is quite small but that's just a minor problem. Hot water works well (just have to wait for 10 minutes to let the water get warm) and the internet at this hotel is the best one i've had in the whole of Nepal.
Of course, the one thing that makes Cosy stand out is it's excellent service - everyone does it with a smile, from the reception to the bell boys that also work on the rooftop restaurant. Not to forget, the rooftop restauarant provides excellent views of life in Bhaktapur as well as the distant mountains.
I'd choose Cosy Hotel again when I go back to Bhaktapur.
Travel tip:
Taumadhi Square is just a round the corner from Cosy Hotel.

Excellent service and comfortable room
Informative & helpful staff, rooms & amenities above average for Nepal

I traveled to Nepal mostly to be on the trails and was thus uncertain about a stay in the heart of Bhatkapur. However upon my arrival, I was warmly greeted by the hotel staff, offered a cup of tea, and immediately asked how they could assist my visit. The location is choice for a stay in this historic city, my room was quiet, the bathroom equipped with soap, toothbrush & toothpaste (not usual in my experience in Nepal). There was plenty of hot water and an ample bedroom for relaxing after a few weeks in the mountains. The rooftop breakfast dining was a pleasant way to start the day, meals were easily altered to accommodate personal tastes. All in all it was a lovely experience and I especially comment the owner & staff for their helpfulness and most gracious exchanges.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, the staff were friendly. The location is good and the accomodation is clean.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Nyatapola wood crafts is close to the hotel and provide a wood carving experience for the day, which is well worth doing.

Clean and confortable hotel In pottery square near the entrance to Dunbar square. The hotel has beautiful wood carving and a rooftop restaurant. Staffs are very frienddly. I had a great chat with a young staff working here and got to know more about nepali people that way. They also provide free laundry and free wifi.
The downside is that the rooms are a little bit smaller than I thought and the price is on the higher end in Bacterpour. The price on Agoda is higher than what I could have got directly from the hotel coz now it is the low season and I was the only guest staying in that hotel during my two days stay..

Great location and pristine rooms
The room was fantastic. very clean and i had a open view to the street below. My room name was Ranikot.

good staff and amazing room. Only stayed for the evening. Bottled Water in room was a welcome sight.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you like the buzz of hearing the sounds of a city then get a street room. motobikes buzzing by, people chatting etc ;)

私が滞在したときは、熱いシャワーが出ました。PotterySqureに面している部屋では、朝５時過ぎから向かいの素焼き工の家族が仕事を始めます。その生活音が非常に面白いので、楽しめる人には良い所です。完璧な静けさを求める人は、そもそもネパールの街は向いていません。
電気については、部屋の全てのコンセントが使える時間が限られています。必要最低限の照明は24時間つきますレセプションやホテルの入り口は早朝閉まっています。でも、事前に何でもレセプションに聞いて頼んでおけば、スタッフもオーナーも親切に教えてくれますし、希望に添えるよう対応してくれました。wifiも当然使えます。
女性一人ですが安心して泊まれるのでおすすめです。
