My stay was only brief, the staff helped me find my way around Thamel and then showed me to the bus stop for Chitawan at 6am the next morning. Extremely helpful!

This hotel has moved from the previous place. It had an elevator. But the new place doesn't have a elevator and blackout continued too long. It is not suitable for business purpose. Not again for me.

Avoid the top floor and rooms on the 4th floor. The staff starts to work very early and they are very noisy, but very friendly too.
After 1st night we asked to move to another room. The hotel has apologised and agreed whith it.

Hotel Family Home has been sold and is now Hotel Happy Home. Only the annexe remains under the old name and the manager tried to move us there, but we refused and he backed down.
Staff are willing and friendly, but need a little more confidence and better English.
Travel tip:
Don't be put off by the dingy lobby - the rooms are much better than this suggests.

the hotel is well located in Thamel. it is very convenient to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel. rooms are nice and the staff is really helpful. you can ask for any kind of information from them. the breakfast provided by the hotel is also very nice.
