I would say that the location of Hotel Himalaya Yoga is really good (lies in the heart of Thamel shopping area) though it was initially hard to find due to the many signboards along the streets and it being known by the locals as Himalaya Yoga Meditation Centre instead. It was nice of them to serve us tea upon arrival too However, the bad experience kicked in when we wanted to have a bath/use the toilet...the water that flowed out of the tap was murky yellow which was gross, the toilet flushing system was faulty, I had a minor electric shock when I touched the shower tap (something wrong with the heater perhaps)..and one has to wait for at least 15mins for the water to heat up before you can bath...Due to all these problems, we actually asked for a change of room, the staff was very kind and told us that he would allow us to stay in a bigger room that was more expensive for free.. However, we were astonished when we saw the bedsheet in the bigger and "better" room wet..there was water leaking from the top of the room and the room actually gave us a creepy vibe..like a haunted castle with all the superb old wooden furniture, ancient looking toilet door (like a dungeon door)..so we decided to go back to our previous room despite the faulty toilet system..Well, it was an interesting experience though but I must say, the service was good.
