We arrived at the guest house late at night and, despite having advised the arrival time of our flight, arrived to find the guest house locked for the night. Fortunately the taxi driver made a phone call and some-one from the guest house arrived to allow us entry.
We stayed 3 nights and had no hot water for the first 2 days. The bedroom was neat and tidy but the bathroom needed cleaning. Daily breakfast was included but wasn't provided the first day as it was the last day of a festival and the staff had gone home to their families.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The tarriff was very reasonable, particularly as breakfast was included. Overall: good location, close to Durbar Square and eating places but,as always, you get what you pay for.

Good location on quiet street

nice quiet street location between thamel and durbar sq. room was clean as was en suite. restaurant wasn't open when i needed it but they did offer to cook something basic if i needed it. while the street location was quiet the guesthouse staff were at work early and congregated outside my room after having breakfast for their catch up. no need for an alarm clock if you are staying here.
Restaurant Tip:
Wander off the main thoroughfare to get the best value meals
