Couples Belgium, April 02, 2013	Bumpy ride getting there but thats the beauty of t Well thought out style, attention to detail, food delicious 9.3 There was a nice walk along the ridgeway with stunning views towards the local monastery (30 mins walk) quite steep but worth the exertion. Loved the cottage style accommodation and shower was good and hot -importat and bed room out of this world. Would defo reccommend and come again.

Couples United Kingdom, March 11, 2013	Expected a lot more; overpriced Beautiful location for a retreat, great organic food, plenty of character 6.7 It's difficult to write a bad review about this place, as there is little wrong with it, but for the price we paid (about a night) it really isn't good enough. When we arrived, late afternoon, we were given the only available room. It was right next to the communal area and had no shower; you had to walk over the other side of the resort (going past the main communal area) for a shower room which was female / male segregated and no locks on doors, so my girlfriend felt uncomfortable showering. We were woken up early by noise from outside. The owner agreed to move us immediately, but they only had a spare room the next night, so we had to wait until then, which was fair enough, but as we only stayed 2 nights it was a pain. The rooms we stayed in were small and quirky little huts on two levels. I really loved their character, but it could be annoying if you were very tall I suppose. All food was good, but you get what you are given (no menu) and so quite expensive. There is nowhere else to eat so you have to have your food at the resort. Wine is nice, but again expensive. We ended up spending for 2 nights here, and while I have no major gripes about the place, I wouldn't go back. Speaking to other guests we found out they were getting a much better deal, and had the bigger rooms too.

Couples Australia, November 26, 2012	Just beautiful and peaceful The organic food in the restaurant was amazing, great Australian wine, beautiful and private wood cabins, breathtaking views and wonderful service from staff! 8.7 We wished we had booked for longer it was truly a beautiful experience and a serene place to stay Hotel Feature Tip: Just watch your head if your tall, cabins are designed for small people ;-)

Food, drink and entertainment

Restaurant
The resort is surrounded by an organic farm. Our farmers try to follow the best practice to care for the earth and build a farm that will last for generations. We grow vegetables, grains, flowers and many fruits. We collect milk from our cows and honey from our bees. We also make our own jams. At the moment we grow much of our own food and also purchase food from the local market. Vegetarian food is one of our major focuses at Namo Buddha Resort. Our wood-fired oven gives us the opportunity to make our own sour dough breads, pizza, and other bakery items. Our kitchen staff makes meals inspired by many European as well as typical Nepali style foods. We serve a fixed dinner menu. Our staff is not formally trained in tourism. That means our service is probably not the best but we are doing as much as we can.
