Disappointing experience
The buffet breakfast had plenty of options

When I booked, it was advertised that hotel transfers were included. I was able to get picked up, but not dropped off.
Staff were rude and unhelpful.
The toilet seat in the room was broken.
There are better hotels nearby, which are cheaper and with more attentive and helpful staff.

This was our first visit to Kathmandu. We stayed in the old section of the city known as Thamel. We chose this hotel because it boasted 24 hour hot water, which is important in Kathmandu where there are scheduled revolving power outages. Nirvana Hotel did not disappoint, plus it had a wonder garden for dining and just hanging out in the quiet away from the busy world outside. I think this is probably the best hotel in Kathmandu.

Very good location in Thamel.

Nice and quiet with the garden surrounding the hotel. The horribly polluted air of Kathmandu was hardly recognizible around the hotel at the end of the dead end street.
The kitchen staff was underdimensioned so one evening we had to wait 1,5 hour for our food.
