i stayed in the hotel first time i arrived to kathmandu. after my return from the trek around annapurna massive i was looking for another hotel in thamel to get more experience with nepali accomodation. but considering the price and comfort, no other hotel in thamel could beat shree tibet hotel. thus i stayed there for another 4 nights.

We've been to this hotel for our last night in Nepal, the room are very cheap, it is right in the centre of Thamel so perfect for our last day shopping. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Great location, service, and price
Cheap, 24 hour hot showers
8.7
We really enjoyed our stay at Shree Tibet. The service was great with really attentive and helpful staff any hour of the day. The price was definitely affordable, and the location in Thamel was perfect- still in the midst of shops, but a bit off the beaten track. We ended up staying there maybe a week or more.

Great place with nice people
Location was great, service was great
7.7
The stay at Shree Tibet was just fine. It was cheaper than a lot of other hotels, and the location was noisy but a lot quieter than other places in Thamel. I always had a room with a view of the rest of Thamel, too. After returning from trekking, I stayed there a week and enjoyed the experience. The staff members were all very kind and helpful and stored some of my luggage for free while I went trekking.

Clean and basic with friendly service
Cheap, friendly, good location, roof top area
8.7
booked here for 10 days all up, it was clean, the people were friendly, you could get breakfast, I had the omelet which was very tasty and well priced. I was able to go off and stay down at Chitwan for a few days leaving my stuff in the room as the price was so cheap and the place was safe. The hotel reception people were very helpful and let me use there phone to receive phone calls from back home. It was basic, a bed and an en-suite with a shower, toilet and sink, but for the amount of time spent there that is all I needed. I would stay there again. The only down side was my room faced the road and there was a nightclub opposite til about 11pm, so it was a bit noisy.

Great Location but facilities in room run down
Great Location, location and location
7
the location is very good. the facilities in the room we stayed in were a bid run down but still acceptable. nevertheless, we cannot demand too much for a standard double room of per night. no food was provided by the gh or we did not informed or we did not know that they provided foods. so, just for complete of this review as demanded, we put down (3) for the food/dinning item. please note that this rating carries no meaning.
Restaurant Tip:
yangling tibetan restaurant provides good foods at reasonable prices in a nice environment just 3 minutes’ walk from the gh. don’t miss it. pastry at mandap bakery and another german bakery are offering 50% discount after 8:00 p.m. everyday.

Great location, basic and clean room.
Great value for money. Superb location.
7.3
The location of this guest house is fantastic! You will find yourself at the heart of Thamel. The staff at the guest house will readily help you with all your travel plans and needs - it is like a one-stop place for trip-booking, forex, taxi, you name it. However, it is advisable to shop around and compare prices. Interestingly, the prices quoted by different member of the staff for the same item can also be different. I selected this guest house after reading a previous guest review saying despite the frequent power cut in Nepal this guest house will provide electricity 24hours with the use of generators. However, this was no longer true when I was there so be warned. Then again, for the price they are charging, I have no complaint. My favorite part of the guest house is the roof top garden.
Restaurant Tip:
Diagonally across the street in front the guest house is my favorite restaurant called the Bamboo Club. The food is reasonably priced without compromise on the quality. I had breakfast on the roof top almost every morning! Try the omelettes.

Great value for money
Good location, helpful staff, comfortable rooms, free wifi
8.3
Hotel is situated in north part of Thamel. Across the street is cafe-bar Funky Buddha with load music production each evening untill 11PM. I get the room on this side first night and it was really very noisy. However after my complaint the staff was very helpful to move me to another room on the other side of building, where the night was very quiet. Hotel has own generator thus during off hours (electricity power down) you have at least one light in room working and also free wi-fi worked most of the time. Shower was always hot.
Hotel Manager also run little travel agency and is very helpful to arrange whatever trip within Nepal you want. The price is reasonable, and you could negotiate trip package contain just according your needs.
