Fontana Resorts is just ok

The check in process was a horrible experience. We spent at least 75 minutes waiting to check in. And that was after coming back a second time because the queue at 2:00 pm (when check in counters open) was even worse. The staff was unapologetic and moved very slow - as if they really did not care that people were upset. Check out was also a long process. THere is nothing fancy about the resort. We spent the night barbecuing and playing games. We brought our own grill because the resort does not have enough available. This is really a no-frills place. This is the only place where I had to pay to borrow extra flat sheets and pillows. Considering the limited amenities - it is not good value for the price.

Very disappointed with the stay. The check in and out had very lengthy paperwork, not to mention the long waiting lines. The staff had to constantly get approvals from other offices for things that should have been included automatically such as the breakfast vouchers in the number specified in the AGODA hotel reservation. The airconditioning was very poor although we called maintenance several times with no effect. Towels were threadbare and no hand or face towels. Internet was so poor that most sites timed out before a response was received. Cleanliness was poor. I will definitely not return to this hotel.

I saw one very scary things during I had the breakfast in the hotel on 5 April,2013. One of the staff ( restaurant)serves one foreigner with toast but he just used the used dish from other customers.I saw the hole picture, and I know he knew what I have seen.

The 5 bedroom villa is a home away from home. It could accommodate up to 10 persons according to the website but it's more than adequate for 10 persons. It has it's own private pool so no need to go to the water park for swimming. It's located in its own enclave so it's a more private place compared to the other villas. It has a sauna on the side of the villa but i think it's been broken for a long time. It would have been nice though if they could repair it considering the price that we're paying for. the kitchen is equipped with a small stove, microwave, and refrigerator. It also has coffee and tea making facilities. Plates, saucers and cups are provided but no kitchenware. You need to bring your own things. One of the cons is that we were supposed to have a certain number of linens, towels, etc. but when we checked we don't have the number that they specified. We had to call them multiple times to request for the remaining towels.

- Thankful that they open the checking counter an hour before and we are lucky we didn't have to wait in a long line.
- They gave us the villa number but no one assist us to the villa. It was hard to open the door we had to try several times everytime
- Our fist call to maintainance was when the hairdryer was not working then when the toilet water won't stop from flowing.
- I called front desk to ask if there was a free us of pool since we were checked in and the person i talked with said that there is non. Later on i found out when we were at the waterpark that we can avail of onetime use of the olympic pool free of charge!!! everyone there keep on mentioning it to us
- During our 3 days stay, no one went to clean the villa, No one ask if we still have complete toiletries and change towels
- Didn't enjoy much the water park since the water is super freezing for me and the walk without the sleepers from the pool to the stairs of the slides is so painful... its like waking in a rough road
- You need to bring your own utensils eventhough there is a kitchen... No plates, Spoon and forks and glass.
- The ref and the cabinet is moldy and rusty
- The TV is old and small for the family room
- I love the centralized aircon..
- There is no policy for loud music- We called several times complaining about our nextdoor neighbor who is having a party without consideration! WE wondered if we are the only ones complaining or we were the only ones not invited.. hehehe
---- Btw we stayed in the 3 bedroom villa very near the guard area. nothing to see. far from the facilities poolside and the main building and the sports area.. we had to ride a car for breakfast every morning and going to the pool
Hotel Feature Tip:
if you are going because of the facilities like the waterpark or the casino. request a villa near it not near the gate which is far from everything

Great Resort Style Combplex

WE enjoyed our stay in a 2 bedroom bungalow. It offered us a homey family style residence. Bungalow was clean and well funished. Our family enjoyed a full day at the Water Park. We also took advantage of the sports center to play tennis. Fontana is a complete resort facility including a casino.
Restaurant Tip:
Take advantage of the Korean and Chinese restaurants.

Good Vibe but breakfast was a letdown

We stayed for a day in Fontana. We arrived late in the afternoon, check-in was a breeze and we were given a map to our villa. We had a car with us so it was easy to find the villa, despite the unlighted lamp posts, but the reception should have at least asked us if we needed a cart to our villas and not assume that we can go there by ourselves. I expected little courtesies such as this since we paid 12k for a night's stay.
The villa itself was clean and well maintained. Although I wish that they change the CRT tv in the living room to LCD. One of the bathroom had a problem, but all facilities were clean.
The breakfast next morning was a set breakfast not the buffet I was expecting. However the servings were actually huge, too much even, so that was okay. What irked me was that the attendants in the lounge were the breakfast was chatting with each other (there were four of them huddled together) and yet not one approached us when I repeatedly signalled them to come so I can ask for water.
So it was okay, but not something I would plan on going to in a while. Plus, their attendants need some training. Chatting in front of eating clients, when they should be alert to these clients' needs is a show of lack of professionalism.
