A hotel falling to pieces

The best about the hotel today is the staff. I love them - always helpful and smiling. But since I was there there first time things are falling apart because the owner do not maintain anything. So when a mirror breaks. A new one is not installed. Since my first stay this shows. I had ants every where, poor bathroom with moist damage, no water pressure, no water in zink. Paint on walls is falling off. Floor tiles broken. This is the general picture. But good location and friendly staff.

Metro Clarke was a decent old place. The location and staff were goo I was unable to get water from shower on a couple occasions. I was informed their water tank was broken. The price was comprable ti similar quality. I would reccomendation for short booking only.

I did not enjoy my stay at the Metro Clark Hotel one bit. There was supposed to be 24hr roomservice and there was not. minibar contained 2 food items(both chips) and no drinks. I managed to get a bottle of pop from them one day but later when I asked for a bottle of water i was told they were out and they suggested that I go to the store. There was supposed to be complimentary bottled water. There was no hot water from the taps. You could get warm water(not hot) from the showerhead so my dream of having a hot bath went unfulfilled. About half of the time there was little to no water pressure from the taps. The tea/coffee maker that was supposed to be in my room did not exist. One night there was water dripping from the ceiling and the air con. was spitting water. Good location though.

Great stay

As I mention earlier at other post on this hotel. I've extend my stay with this hotel as I love the location and being great without tired by the same friendly staff. Walking distance to SM Mall and it's great if you need to have the city mall environment and feel. The only downside with this hotel is the water pressure is so low that you get frustrate. Again, the staff responded to my complain and they manage to fix it temporary. Probably dur to renovation that effect the water pressure thing, I'm not sure..... Overall its worth the stay in this hotel in I opinion. Other traveller who stay had stay in this hotel may not agree

Great hotel and location was great. Book the executive room. The room is huge and comfortable. It's walking distance to Field Ave. The staff is fantastic and very helpful. Initially worried that the hotel is too far from Field Ave. But later I come to know its nice to stroll along the road to/from Field Ave. In between you try local food at its surrounding. Reminder***The hotel currently doing some renovation and the hotel management didn't mention when the renovation going to complete. So if you intend to stay in this hotel, you have to bear the noise or check with the hotel before you do the booking.

Disappointing, old, dirty hotel
location, staff, opposite a nice bakery.

Shared the room with 2 families of large cockroaches, the staff didnt see a problem with these large pests crawling around the rooms. aircon didnt work and after 2 days of complaining i was shifted to another room. Staff were friendly but there wasnt much they could do until management cleaned the hotel. It needs a total refurbishment. Foam mattress on bed.

The room is spacious but basic requirements suc as kettle was not available. The location lies within the night life areas where you can find ah go-go bars , street vendors around the hotels.
Nightlife Tip:
There are planty of bars around and its good place for lonely hearts

Isolated position in busy streets

It was difficult to find and the taxi took 15 minutes to find it. It was tugged away in row of shophouses. It was next to the street corner but there was no signboard to indicate the name of the hotel from the adjoining main street.Even coming up close to the hotel, the hotel signboard is smallish and hard to see.
Check in was easy as I was the last guest in at 11.30pm.
Room is quiet and pretty basic. But the bath room has no hot water shower.
Room rate was on offer which made it real cheap, otherwise it was poor value for money.
