It was a good value hotel for the money.
Good buffet breakfast, easy access to public transportation, near grocery & shopping areas.

This was a good value hotel for the money. We like the variety in their buffet breakfast. My only complain was the WIFI internet did not have a very good signal.

surprisingly pleasant and very comfortable. i booked a standard twin room since their standard single only mentioned single bed but made the request through agoda for a large bed since I was with my husband. when we checked in, i asked for it and they looked surprised which means they did not look at the request. but they offered to put the beds together and turned out to be comfortable. the room was large with comfortable and fluffy bed and pillows. i never felt back backaches. there's also coffeetable and chairs. wifi is fast and location is very near supermarkets and a public market so plenty of opportunities to see local life and people.

Nothing Fancy - basic budget hotel

One of the nicer places to stay in Bacolod, but only because Bacolod offers so very few quality hotels. The East View Hotel provides few amenities and knowledge of the business is weak, however it is a small, clean relatively newer facility with a fair restaurant that meets the basic requirements. The “Superior Deluxe” designation of the room is simply false – superior and deluxe as compared to what: native bamboo construction? Without a doubt, it is plain & simply a “budget hotel”. When compared to Super 8, Days Inn, Econolodge, or Motel 6 (typical low-end budget hotels) the East View comes in “dead” last. One problem being that with respect to the cost of living and local economy (where minimum wage is less than $6.75 a day), their rates are unjustifiably far too high. Reiterating: Bacolod in general has over-rated, poor quality hotels. The East View is among the handful of acceptable ones. We will probably be inclined to stay again on our next trip to Bacolod. However, we are certainly not overly impressed!

We booked this room for friends traveling with us. Their report: small clean room, but poor water pressure in bath. Good breakfast buffet. NO OFF-STREET PARKING - they advertise that they have a "car park" - NOT! Friendly staff. One of the nicer places to stay in Bacolod but only because Bacolod offers very few quality hotels - the East View barely qualifies for this category. Considering the local economy and cost of living, the East View is considerably overpriced. All-in-all, not impressed.
