Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Swift but meaningful
We stayed in this hotel for only a night. The hotel is big, but old and kind of gloomy. They serve good and affordable food. The room is too dark.

Overall, a pleasant stay
View of the rice terraces; breakfast; quiet (no city traffic noise)

The room itself was ok, nothing fancy. The water in the bathroom sputtered noisily in the pipes as if there were massive air pockets; hot water was erratic. The toilet rumbled and grumbled for several minutes after each flush. No wifi in room; only in lobby where it's painfully slow and expensive. A hotel like this should have free wifi. Desk insisted on printed Agoda voucher which we didn't have as we were making reservations on the go with no access to printer. Others accepted conf number shown on a mobile device. Took 3 attempts to forward the confirmation email to them before we could check in. Views of the rice terraces from dining room and our room were great.

it is a very basic hotel. little or no service. food is acceptable but after three days monotonous. very run-down - few things work - poor internet service. pool was out-of-service. sadly it is still probably the only decent place to stay as the other hotels are even worse.

Amazing view.
The view from the dining area is amazing. It overlooks the rice terraces. Our room was also quite large (we asked for the the twin room since it was cheaper) and overall very clean.

Probably the best 2 star hotel you will ever stay at.

Adequate Accomodations but needs major overhaul!
Location and relative cleanliness
5.7
This is the only accommodation in Banaue that can be considered a hotel so there isn't much of a choice. It seems the hotel managemnt knows this and takes advantage of that fact. There obviously hasn't been any kind of update done for at least 20 years. The pool is murky and green. The carpets in the rooms are frayed and dank. Hallways are dark and musty. For people interested in anything remotely luxurious, you're out of luck. Suck it up for a couple of days and enjoy the amazing sights.

Poor quality hotel but only option
3.3
It is a real shame that the management and staff of this hotel do not feel any pressure to make this potentially great property into a better hotel. The food was poor and unimaginative in an area rich in agriculture. The check-in process was long and they claimed that they could not accept credit cards (in the tourism business!!). There was no aircon in the dowdy old rooms. They had an unnecessary bright light shining directly into the window all night in what should be a natural environment. It looks like the management of the hotel went to sleep a few decades ago and is happy to collect their salaries for doing nothing. A little competition would put them out of business in a heartbeat.

Centrally located with a view of rice terraces
good location, attentive staff, easy to arrange sightseeing trips
8.3
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Banaue Hotel. It was a good base for our trips to the rice terraces, including Batad and Banaue Rice Terraces, both Unesco World Heritage Sites. From the hotel, we went on a day trip to Sagada, Mt Province. We got all our transport vehicles and tour guides through the hotel.
Banaue Hotel is a very quiet hotel. Not much evening activities except cultural dances on select nights.
Banaue Hotel is not a great hotel but it's the only one in town.

Very relaxing and comfortable.
The hotel is artistic, with lots of Filipino design products and even the room has Ifugao artwork...love it!
