Good location and historical value but...

It was my second time to stay here and that's why I was surprised that our experience was not that good. It is bec of the location of the room that was given to us. It was noisy since the sound of the cars passing by and even the voices of the people outside can be heard from inside the room. The fire alarm sensor also kept on beeping the whole night!

We had three vouchers for two rooms, as we had initially booked two nights for the family room and decided to add one night. When we checked in and asked them to process the two vouchers together so we would not have to check out and then check in again, the clerk tried to get us to pay for an extra room. Very deceptive and dishonest. We didn't fall for it, but left a bad feeling about the place. One other thing to know is that even if you book a 4-person family room, they only included 2 breakfasts. This is also deceptive, as it is not mentioned clearly in the booking information.

Family room was very crowded with 4 kids. Breakfast is only included for 2 guests The property is really old, although there has been some renovation recently, it is still kind of a musty old building. Front desk staff was not very helpful or friendly, in fact they seemed to be trying to find ways to get more $$ from the guests.

The hotel restaurant was very accommodating,w requested for a take out breakfast since we are in a hurry and need to be out by 7am. Their breakfast is served from 7 am to 10:30am.
It's an old hotel, although renovated some time ago, it has retained its Old Charm. I am a bit disappointed with the linens though, they need upgrading, the towels are old and the pillowcases as well.
Request for a room on the other side of the road, coz if you get one that is adjacent to the main road, you can hear the people in the street talking plus the sound of cars and jeeps.

The hotel is nice. The crew are friendly and helpful.
But overall, it's a nice place. And the food at the hotel resto is good, too. I also enjoyed the spa, though I haven't got the chance to visit the bookstore. They might have a good collection of books for my 2 kids.
Hotel Feature Tip:
I suggest don't get the room that's on the road side. It gets a bit noisy when the traffic starts in the day. And at night, you can hear people chatting just outside at the pavement.

the accommodation was ok for the price, the location was very strategic, the ambiance was nice, there was hot shower. the comfort room however would not flush-but was remedied by the hotel maintenance asap. the hotel staff were courteous and friendly.
breakfast was great!!
