dont have too much expectation
nice pool and outlook to the lake
5.3
The biggest bed they have is a double bed.
We have to keep asking for instructions such as what time and where is the breakfast being serve. It was only due to the fact that I saw somebody with a map of the place then I had to ask for it at the front desk.
They dont turn/ clean your room hence on our 2nd day we run out of toilet paper and have to go to front desk to ask for some.
Food is ok however they run out by our 3rd day on some things.
Very dissapointed

I love the ambiance that the place affords a visitor. It affords one to be reunited with nature and enjoy the luxury of a hazzle- free respite from the rigors of urban life and polluted living. O h how I wish I would have stayed longer!

Lovely resort but poor service from the reception
The rooms are clean, spacious & nicely built. View is spectacular. With 3 big pools to enjoy.
7.3
The rooms are clean, big and comfy. View is magnificent both from the garden and from the lake. Pools are all big & clean too. The staff from the reception are not very helpful though. Had to wait more than 2 hrs before we can check-in & had to call 3x to ffup since he failed to informed us that the previous occupants checked out late.

Relaxing resort, but bad massage service
very close to manila; comfortable accomodations, hearty breakfast buffet
7.7
This is our second visit. It is a relaxing setting for a quick getaway, with a choice of three swimming pools for cool off. We stayed at the same lakefront room which offers an unbeatable view of the lake. The breakfast buffet, which was included in our room charge was value for money, although the ala carte menu was quite limited. There was also a time when the restaurant was over ran by flies, which kind of spoiled the setting.
Although I would recommend this resort, do not make the mistake of patronizing the spa, which according to the hotel staff, was ran by a concessionaire. The overpriced massage was simply terrible, and left me and my wife feeling more disappointed than relaxed.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We still haven't gotten to take the boat ride to the crater lake, and we suggest that you take it first thing in the morning to avoid the scorching sun.

perfect for a quick getaway
three swimming pools to choose from

Nothing special about the resort, but perfect for a quick getaway. Restaurant food is good, but selection is very limited. Do not patronize the spa, overpriced and service is lousy.

Green, fresh, community place
Nature, greenery, friendly staff
7.3
We appreciated the fresh mountain air and being surrounded by plants, trees and shrubs. We enjoyed the different activities we were able to do in Club Balai Isabel. We loved eating the delicious spread available in the buffet.

Nice but I was expecting better based on pictures

Rooms are somewhat small. Restaurant fare average.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Trek to Taal Volcano moderately challenging but worth it- easier and faster on horseback.

Relaxing features like being home away from home.
The location with magnificent view.

i have been exposed to many kinds of vacation facilities, whether it is through business with pleasure or simply bonding time with my family. club balai isabel is on its way to a comparatively world class vacation place, the staff are attentive and very helpful to a certain extent. i'm not saying that they were probably under staff when we went there, but being a holiday, i guess they can only do so much. i was just disappointed, when i requested for a hair dryer in the night that we were there and followed it up again in the morning, only to have the answer that they ran out of available unit. being used to "standard hotels", i presumed that a hair dryer is one of the "standard" things that you will find in your room, that's why i decided not to bring my personal unit. barring that, i'd say, it is a place where you will not get tired of getting back to. the location may not be that easy to find, since they are lacking signage along the way to guide the first timers, i suggest that it will help the guests if they can install these signage visible in the main roads for every 5 or so kilometers.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
being a filipino, i think it is a must to make a stop in the shrine of one of our heroes, apolinario mabini, you will not miss it on your way to talisay, as you can find it along the main road with visible signage.
