Exclusivity is great
Close to beach, infinity pools, quiteness and exclusivity
8.7
First thing I realized is that it would help to have your own vehicle or rent one because public transportation to the resort is very limited or scarce. Backpackers would have a challenge getting to the resort. Checking in and out is relatively quick. We rented a casita and it was clean, roomy and well appointed. The beach is just ok. The double infinity pools were great and makes for a good photo op. The breakfast buffet is quite good. This would be a good get away for a couple.

Pictures don't do justice to the beauty! Worth it!
Nice infinity pools, Stunning Peninsula view, Good beach.
7.7
Thinking the resort was build in the 90's I had some second thoughts as neighboring resorts that were built in the 90's didnt look good. Fuego is as nice and as modern as new resorts these days. Great job on maintaining the beauty of this place. THe hotel is on a Peninsula and everywhere you look you'd see stunning ocean and cliff views, there must be hundred spots where you can create a postcard shot from. Their best-bet feature is their twin infinity pools overlooking a gorgeous sunset cove. There are 2 pool areas: 1 is in the lower beach where you have to either ride the cart or drive and the main twin infinity pool in the hotel area. THe beach is not near the hotel since the hotel is on a cliff. I suggest spend morning till afternoon in the lower beach which has a pool too. Then during sunset, drive back to the hotel where the infinity pools are warm from the sun and the view overlooks the ocean and sunset. Staff service is inconsistent, sometimes good, most of the time poor. Check in and check out was turtle slow. Like most reviews here, I was not able to connect to the Wifi the entire stay. Bring your own mobile connection if you plan to work. Food, like most reviews here, need to be improved. I don't mind paying 400php per meal ( expensive in Filipino standards) as long as the food is special and worthy of the resort. The food were mediocre, forgettable and nothing special. They dont allow food or snacks to be brought in, tip: they dont check baggage either so hide your snacks deep in your bags and never make the mistake of declaring them or showing them to the bellboy, else you get charged 500pesos per bag as corkage. Tip: get the sea view room. You will totally regret not getting the seaview rooms. They are absolutely gorgeous and stunning, one of the best views from a hotel room in the entire Luzon Island area. Lastly, the lower pool needs drainage inspection.

Satisfactory, but could be better
Infinity pool, well maintained facilities, quiet & pleasant surroundings
8.3
Generally good value for money, but there are aspects that could be improved such as wifi signal, availability of golf carts during check-out, overpriced restaurant with very few ala carte choices. Good points: well maintained and very clean club house and beach area, large casitas for families, and heated infinity pool that stays open at night.
