Basic Room in a Good Location

Its a nice small resort with friendly staff. The place was also convenient to walk along the beach. It was basic but very clean. There are also a lot of restaurants around it so easy to just go down and chill by the beach or find something to eat. A good place to stay.

we stayed in alona and really liked it because it has great location on the beach and the room is super extra nice and clean with nice balcony - terace and good security. you will get also free water, coffee/tea in the room. the food is not that great but you can go off the beach and find better and cheaper restaurants like alona hidder dream on the main road.

Simple and nice resort
Located on the best part of Panglao beach. I love the traditional features and the cocotree, plants that dotted the resort.

I had two nights stay in this resort. The amenities in the room are basic , standard and new. The aircon is quite noisy but luckily i have an earplug so i can sleep beautifully.
I wanted to extend my stay but somehow their solution didnt quite match my expectation.
In my opinion i think overnight stay is on the high side, but having said this, this is the rate you can get on the island.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Chocolate hill, butterfly garden, tarsier smallest monkey forest.

nice location near the beach. room was just enough for 2 to 3 people.clean not so new and discolored towels everyday.presence of mosquitoes by the pool and by the porch.friendly staff.a bidet should be added in the bathroom.all year round rates for the rooms and food should be adjusted to attract more clients. we had fun though esp the island hopping and encounter with the dolphins

Very nice hotel right on the beach

I stayed at the Alona Vida Beach Resort with my girlfriend and Dad for a week.
The staff were very nice and helpful. They were able to set up airport pick for us and ferry pickup for my Dad. My Dad booked the room but my girlfriend and I arrived a few hours before he did. They said it was no problem to get us a room first which was obviously a great start.
We got two first floor rooms across from each other so that was nice for meeting up with my Dad. The rooms are comfortable and nicer than the online pictures. Bed is nice, things are newer, good water pressure, plenty of room, mini fridge. TV is old and small but you're on the beach!
Beautiful beachfront and the pool was great and we used it every night.
Alona Beach is not huge. So although it is towards the eastern end of the beach, it doesn't take long to walk to most of the restaurants, bars, shops, etc. And dive shop right next door.
Restaurant was ok. Some dishes were very good, some were very average. And compared to other places on Alona Beach, it was rather expensive. Was really surprised how the prices went up and down just walking 1-2 minutes on the beach. If on a budget, definitely look around for food.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
For Alona Beach in general...gorgeous beach but not really swimmable. After only a few meters, the sandy bottom goes away and its full of seaweed and coral, with plenty of stuff to step on.
So if you're looking to just swim and relax in the water, consider another beach or destination.
But if here, snorkeling right off the beach is excellent! Starfish, sea urchins, clown fish, puffers, jellyfish, and even saw a sea snake!

great location just upfront the Alona beach; easy to get food around.

the stay in alona vida beach resort is very nice. nice and polite staffs. there's also a small swimming pool though not big enough for swimming but enough for stay inside for cooling. just in the next door hayahay restaurant has nice pizza and nice bbq. alona vida also has its own restaurant and bar. this bar is the latest (around 1-2 in the morning) closing one on alona beach. so not suitable for people who prefer quiet place. overall the stay is very nice! recommended!
