pleasant, but not luxurious
friendly staff, comfy bed, happy hour
7.3
Overall, the word is underwhelmed. We came in expecting luxury or at least something close, but what Amorita has to offer is actually rather standard. I'm talking about the deluxe rooms, because those villas did look nice.
The room is spartan - which is fair for a beach place. But things like the floor tiles were of a regular dull kind, same with bathroom tiles - very little effort at decoration. Which wasn't bad, but in a place that markets itself as high end and charges US$200 a night for a regular room, this falls way way short.
The room balcony has no seats and opens to the back end of a split type airconditioner - just to make sure nobody can lounge on their own balcony. And there is, in fact, a lack of lounging options that aren't fully exposed to terrible heat or rain.
The front desk staff are friendly and efficient, but during check in and check out they are undermanned. Queues and crowds form and there is little comfortable seating space in the reception area.
There was wifi trouble that was never really fully resolved. A housekeeping issue that the GM properly apologized for but should never have happened in the first place. Little things like the dining room staff failing to set the place for the additional person at our table. All these make Amorita far from a really top notch resort.
So our suggestions are either lower your prices or step it up.

Great stay at their Villa
Close to the beach, good food

We enjoyed our stay at the Villa. It has a nice plunge pool and our room is clean. Wide selection of food for breakfast too.

Great location, but time for some improvements....
Resort is in great location, staff are wonderful, food in restaurant was great.

The resort is in a great location overlooking Alona Beach. When we got to our villa we were surprised to see rotted deck wood on the veranda next to the dip pool. Creates hazard when walking over the deck if you forget where to step. Our pool filtration was not turned on for 3 days, so the pool had cloudy look, not sparkling water as in photos. We did dine at the resort restaurant and must say we enjoyed the food very much. Little bit expensive compared to beach restaurants, but very good. The staff at the resort are very welcoming and friendly, and willing to help with anything you need. Overall, we would stay here again, but would hope a little bit of repair work would take place before then.

Great pool, food, location

Great stay, very romantic. Great pool. Only issue was hot water never worked correctly even after complaining. The circuit breaker kept blowing after about 3min after which water was cold.

Comfortable and Wonderful Resort
Food, pool & view and spacious
8.7
The air condition in the room was spoiled and was not able to cool the room. Have to be disturbed by the technician while they try to fix the air condition. In addition, the fan in the room is not working properly as the speed is very slow therefore the room is quite warm.
The pool in the room should be cleaned regularly as there are lots of dirt in the pool and the resort should consider providing heated pool.
The ocean villa is not exclusive as it could be accessed by the neighboring villa.
