Pickup from airport needed P1600, boat to Alona beach needed P1000, fine as we had three people to share
Walking in the village and to other beach was fun, many small shops selling fruit and snack
Good to have lunch and dinner at restaurant next to resort, they added P200 service fee except the first one
Delux room was too small for three
Didn't see much snorkeling but many coral and turtles diving, can do island hopping if only for snorkeling

I would recommend this resort for a short stay (maybe 2 nights). We stayed for 3 but found it slightly too long. Whilst it was very relaxing and a good break from busy Panglao and Alona, the rooms were very basic and the bathroom was pretty terrible (shower had no hot water and trickled out), and the sink poured water onto the floor. Also there is only one restaurant at the resort which never had any of the ingredients to make basic dishes (no french fries?). The staff were friendly, however, and still enjoyed our time there.

beautiful place with diving, snorkel and good food
if the weather is good and you love the ocean you will enjoy a few days here

government owned and managed island and resort. unless you dont like swimming or theocean, its a good choice. there is a tv with movies and karaoke, but no tv cable and barely/rarely internet or cell phone signal. the island is small but has nice people and very close to panglao. you will spend as much on food at the restaruant as your do on your room. there are some decent family operated seaside eateries just outside the compound past the navy station.
Travel tip:
bring your music and something to read. great pool, deep but short length by the sea.

they are the only one hotel on the island. all rooms are 10 meters to the sea.
the diving center is professional and the price is ok.
little living supply, no hot water for shower.
the food is not satisfactory.

Seems the only option to stay if you want to stay a night in Balicasag. Big room and private beach. The diving shop offers good service if you would like to dive. There is no need to stay here unless you would like to dive.
