Wonderful and heart-warming!
Warm and sincere efficient staff; food was delicious; security and comfort were really felt
9.7
Our stay was wonderful! As a couple, we really needed our privacy for our "Lune de Miel", but we also wanted to feel the family atmosphere that a home has. French Kiss Asia gave us that, so our first stay at Panglao Island was really an experience to remember. The owners: Mr Francois "Le Vieux" and Mrs Amelita; John and Maureen; Ate Esther the Cook; and of course, lovely adorable 4-year old Asia--really brought our vacation to life. Everything we needed was available, and our food requirements were professionally met. Hassle-free transport available too, and with that personal touch that made me and my husband feel super secure (and loved!) Clean surroundings and respectful team--great ingredients for a family run hotel. Definitely recommending to my friends and family!

Great place, great staff, absolutely flawless
Place, food, staff, pool....
10
We stayed at the French Kiss for eleven days and we could not possibly make a better choice. The place is an amazing oasis of tranquility. Nipa houses are spacious, clean, simply, but nicely furnished. You will love evenings at the terrace with a book, listening to birdsongs after a swim in the pool! The whole place is very well looked after by the staff for whom it is, undoubtedly, a labour of love. The staff was very friendly, helpful and treated us as though we were a part of the family. The food in the restaurant was brilliant, made of fresh fruit and veggies.
The resort is located in a walking distance from San Isidro beach. We would, however, recommend going to Dumaluan beach, which is not far away. The resort is very close to one of the Panglao's main roads, hence a perfect starting place for trips around Bohol.
The staff was always happy to drive us around or, alternatively, arrange for someone who would do so. That included a boat man who took us for a day trip around the surroundings island ( Balicasag, Pamilacan, Virgin island)
If you look for a neat, quite and nice place in nature with a family-like treatment, the French Kiss should be an obvious choice. We had an unforgettable time here and would not think twice to come back. We strongly recommend the place!
Things to do around:
Snorkelling, whale an dolphin watching at Balicasag and Pamilacan Islands. Loboc river cruise, Philippine Tarsier Foundation, Chocolate hills and many sandy beaches

Fairly isolated but with a nice atmosphere
Natural setting, friendly familial atmosphere
6.7
It may be overpriced, and it's far from luxurious, but I could have stayed longer. The bed wasn't terribly comfortable or good for lounging or sleeping in, the curtains were too thin, the water pressure was poor, and the water sometimes smelled like sulfur, but otherwise it was nice. Since it isn't within walking distance of other restaurants (except the Bee Farm, which is definitely worth a trip or several), it would have been nice if breakfast was included in the room rate. I enjoyed all the meals I had there though. It's family-run and the staff is very chatty and friendly. They offered plenty of advice and tips but didn't go out of their ways to assist a solo traveler. They'd be much more accommodating for groups, or at least they knew how to arrange sightseeing and boat trips and transportation for large groups but not for individuals. I was able to find my own way around okay, though. To get around it would be a good idea to rent a motorbike, since not much is in walking distance. I wasn't confident enough to drive a motorbike so I paid a considerable amount on tricycles and other transportation around Panglao and Bohol. There's a nice little pool for cooling off. I stayed 4 nights and kept busy with sightseeing around Bohol: there's plenty to do there and I didn't do much lounging around!
Also, you have to buy your own drinking water daily, which is inconvenient.
The wifi works though, in the bar/restaurant area. And it's nice to wake up to nature sounds.

The owner and his wife are amazing
I've been to this island before, and chose the hotel due to high ratings, and the good value for money, given that it's 1/3 the price of inferior accomodations on Alona beach, a 20 minute drive away if you are comfortable driving a local motorcycle.
I had emailed them upon confirmation of booking to have airport pickup, but had no response, so we were ripped off by a taxi arriving to the resort.
The room is big, considering the price. The room was cleaned every 2-3 days and the hot water system was not reliable. It's also in the middle of nowhere, so expect to be waken by wild chickens, etc. at 1-6am., depending on the day.
Upon arrival we were offered french fries and a drink and "you can use the kitchen and the deep fryer and anything you want", only to be later charged for using same amenities upon checkout and friendly-offered meals and bottles of wine from OTHER GUESTS with the same result. As a business, any other resort would advise you the fee or price before charging you - I'm confused with how they run the business here.
I would recommend paying your tab daily or you will be in for a big surprise upon checko

Country side getaway with great company
Awesome owners, hotel with character
8.7
I was in Bohol by myself on an impromptu trip and didn't know what to expect. This resort was pretty far from the main strip and hidden behind some farms. I was a bit wary at first, but after I met the owners, I felt right at home. They were super nice and attentive, and since I was traveling by myself, they totally took care of me, helped me find the cheapest and nicest tour guide, and invited me out with them when they went to town. The room itself was nice and comfy, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. If you are a light sleeper, do expect to wake up early in the morning to the sound of roosters, cows, and pigs as there are farms nearby.

Very clean and friendly hotel.
8.7
This hotel has the friendliest owners I have ever experienced. The simple amenities suit very well the lifestyle of Panglao, rooms have AC but it is much better to open the windows and let the breeze in. The beach is 10 minute walk and well worth the trip if you like swimming and uncrowded places.
Restaurant Tip:
Bee resort is perfect, only 5 minutes bike ride and the owners offer you to ride you there !
