Nice room but the location is not really good.
The room is what i like most.it a good 3 star hotel.

at first i had a hard time finding the hotel location but it turns out great when i saw the hotel itself,the exterior of it is good,but personally i don't think it is properly located though it was just few minutes away from the heart of the business district but still the location really gave me the turn off. but our stay was generally ok,i can recommend it to my friends who doesn't mind having to travel for a few extra minutes.
Travel tip:
Before thinking of going anywhere you need to advise them to hail you cab before going down since the location is not really a cab friendly street.

If u want to discover Bohol this is the place u should be

This is the nicest place you can think off for staying on Bohol.
If u want to be out of the busy life you used to, then go for it, i can promis u that the people from the Kaylaa will give u what you need and beyond that.
The food is realy perfect and ask for the suprise diner, the cook will make you something great.
If u rent a bike all the things u like to do is in the reach of one hour.
So my advice is......if you want to discover Bohol go to Kaylaa beach resort.
Jon the owner will fill in all your needs so don't mind asking him. (even your tickets for the boat on your way back)

we really enjoyed our stay in Bohol...Kayla'a resort is really a quiet place but far from the city so we need to pay an extra amount for our transportation service for our sight-seeing trips...and I don't think it is a place for family like if you have small children...but we were able to enjoy our last day there, we had a good foot massage and we enjoyed the pool with Jacuzzi and the great food.

we booked a 3night-2day stay with the hotel. one thing we really liked was the 'at-home' feel the hotel had. plus they had amazing food! we especially like their burgers! the staff were really friendly and nice. they also have a fish conservation area nearby and we had the chance to do a little snorkeling ourselves. they also have a pool.
it's a bit far from the city (an hour ride), but you won't have difficulty getting your way around because jeepneys and vans are available and if you get lucky, you can hitch a ride with the resort van to the city.
truly an unforgettable experience. we'd definitely book that resort again.

Mostly 2 things bothered us: the resort is very small and Bohol's main road is right behind the room. Be prepared for some noisy nights.
the resort is extremely secluded in a not so nice area and the amenities/services offered by the resort are very limited. organise your own transportation to go around.
Overall we found that for this range of price - compared to others it was a bit disappointing.
To be fair, this resort is helping the local community a lot giving jobs to local people and we respect that.
You may have a feel good effect going there

As soon as we arrived at the Kayla we were greeted by the owner and were offered a free drink, which we graciously accepted. The Sunrise Vista Suite was very spacious, private, had a large balcony, large shower and bathroom but the showers pressure was weak. The pool was a great way to cool down after a day of driving with the scooter, which can be rented through the resort. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced! The beach is rocky and basically inaccessible for the time of year that we were there (October). Laying in the hammock and eating dinners by the beach made up for it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you can't ride a scooter then it will be difficult to get around and see all the sights on you own. There is really nothing to do or places to eat in close proximity of the resort. You can hire the resort van to drive you around for a reasonable price, which we did on a few occasions.

Beautiful, restful place in Filipino setting
This beautiful oasis has great food and wonderful service. It is ideal for people who want rest and relaxation.

We loved having breakfast, lunch and supper served beside the pool because the view was so fantastic and we were surrounded by palm trees, beautiful flowers and shrubs. What a perfect place to rest, read and enjoy nature while watching the local fishermen do their work. When the tide was out we could walk the sandy beaches and look for shells and pieces of coral. We would love to return to this oasis.
Hotel Feature Tip:
You can save over half transportation cost by contacting the hotel in advance to be picked up at the airport.

great service with very friendly and accomodating staff. although the place is quite far from the tourist spots, but the distance is worth the deluxe servie you get from them. if you are looking for a place for relaxation, this is the place. not recommended for those looking for a beach and night life.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
book your tours ahead of time to get a good deals. DANAO is a must for those in search for adventure.
