Nice cottages close to the beach
Close to the bus stop and beach, modern cottages

we had a great stay in l'éléfant bleu. the cottages are very nice furnished. clean. good service.
Nightlife Tip:
Alona Beach is very alife in the evening. Plenty of small restaurants with tables in the sand. At some places there is life music. This is nice, but after an entire evening you really have enough from this music.

We had a very good stay in this hotel. The cottages are nicely furnished. Showers with hot and cold water, but we only had wold water. The reception is at the other side of the road. A shame we didn't eat at the restaurant, because we heared good comments.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The cottages are very nice

Modern hotel with Indigenous Touch
Affordable; Near restos, highway, and Alona beach; Great Staff
9.3
The photos from Agoda showed native cottages and hut, but we got a modern hotel with indigenous touch. We had all the basics, at a very affordable price. Though the hotel is non beach front, it is a just a few minutes walk away. It is near the highway, good for commuters like us, and also, near restaurants. The staff are great and all very accommodating.
Nightlife Tip:
There are restaurants along Alona beach and you can have dinner by the beach at night. Sample the grilled seafoods, or local dishes, the cap off with a bottle of San Miguel Beer.

cottage with modern features

panglao island in bohol is one the best places we've been to. good for us we choose alona area over other beaches in panglao. this hotel is best for people doesnt like noisy environment or needs privacy. this is located little bet far from the beach, you need to walk, good exercise in a way going to the seashore and resto. the cottages are vintage in a way but modernized inside. water supply is good. cable is okay. aircon is working well. wifi is working good outside the room but too bad when youre inside the room.
Travel tip:
If you are first timer in Bohol with no tourist guide, take taxi from the port of Tagbilaran, the cheapest is P300. Take the tour which is whole day, rental of the taxi is P2,000, driver will serves as the guide. Have the lunch and dinner in resto near the beach.

the room we stayed is very affordable and yet you can find a very homey place. they clean our rooms everyday. although the water is not potable and it taste salty. overall, i really like the place because it is walking distance to the beach. you can also find a nearby restaurants where food are good and not expensive.

Good hotel, friendly staff
spacious rooms, good staff, near beach
9
Worth our money. The owner was really nice. Only problem was that the toilet was too small and the trash can was very tiny but definitely clean and well-maintained. Otherwise, no problem. Spacious rooms, complete with tv, air con, good lighting. Misleading photos though, as the restaurant is across the street. But other than aesthetics, no problem.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take a tricycle to and fro the airport. Half the price.

Charming cottages with very friendly staff
The cottages are very clean. The place is away from the noise of the beachfront and yet close enough to walk to the beach. They have the best croissants served for breakfast. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating.
9.3
I enjoyed my stay at L'Elephant Bleu Cottages & Rooms. The cottage was very charming using native materials. The bathroom was very clean and there was strong hot and cold water in the shower. The airconditioning was cold, and that was a relief after coming from the hot midday sun. The place was quiet because it's located quite off the beach area but not quite because you only need to walk 5 minutes and you're already at Alona beach. A bonus is the newly-opened cafe where they serve the best croissants and brewed coffee, along with other specialty items like local cottage cheese and the like. The owner was very friendly and was always there to look after the needs of the guests. The staff was also very accommodating. My only suggestion is for them to have a standby generator in case of brown-outs so that there would be continuous electricity and water. I would definitely come back here.

Lovely cottages in a native setting
The cottage was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. They served very good croissants and coffee for breakfast.
7.7
Although the place is not by the beach, it is only a 3-minute walk, which makes it quiet and restful, as there are a lot of activities going on in the beach all the time. The cottage is very clean but I think it needs more light because it's very difficult to read at night. They have a good cafe that serves good croissants and other pastries with freshly brewed coffee. The front office and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful as well.
