Solo travelers January 27, 2012	great location and nice room with beautiful garden near to the beanch 10 the room is nice and the location is great , i stayed here with my fiend for 4 days . i'm regret that maybe i lost my personal ID card by myself somewhere in the room , i don't know how to find it,and who can help me. Restaurant Tip: it's a good place so near to the beanch.

Solo travelers Singapore, January 24, 2012	Nice & cozy, but a bit noisy comfortable, clean, good design and decoration, 7.7 The resort was about 5-10 mins from the beach and there were lots of restaurant & shop nearby, the location was good & convenient. The room was clean, cozy and tidy with good equipment. The bathroom was in good condition and the water was hot. No kettle in the room and the drinking water was charged. The internet was quite stable. The room was near the main street and hence it's a bit noisy. I couldn't sleep well and woke up at about 5am every morning. The resort owner was friendly and helpful.

Couples Singapore, January 24, 2012	Cheap for budget travellers Budget stay 5.3 as my friend and i were looking for a cheap accomodation with decent facilities, i decided on l’elephant as it is less than 10 mintues walk away from alona beach where the boats provide island hopping to virgin & balicasag islands. the air conditioned rooms and cottages are at different side of the road. apparently the air conditioned rooms are newly built as there was still construction at the level 1. we booked the air conditioned room but it runs kind of rundown inside, the pillow was flat, cramped bathroom and i even spotted a millipede in the bathroom. expect noise from vehicles since it is just beside the busy road but still bearable. since we wanted cheap lodging, we could not complain too much and it did not affect our stay in panglao island.
Li J. Couples China, January 23, 2012	great location, nice hotel well worth of money 8.3 the hotel is location just uphill of the Alona beach, very close. the room is pretty clean and stylish on the outside. it's a pity that the resturaunt was closed during our visit.

Katerina L. Couples Czech Republic, January 20, 2012	Cheap place close to Alona Beach price, wifi in the room 7.3 Basic room,with warm shower bathroom and fan, clean and close to Alona Beach. We just slept in room, spend all days on motorbike driving around Panglao and Bohol Islands. L´elephant Bleu restaurant was closed and owner offers restaurant to rent. Next dooor Swiss garden restaurant served us discusting and expensive food, we found Naty&Henry eatery just 100 meters away and enjoyed most our meals there. Was delicious, fresh, cheap and local. Motorbikes for rent are quite expensive on Alona( per 8 hours), we finaly got it for per all day. As far from Alona beach you go, the prices are lower. Alona beach is overpriced.

Solo travelers Canada, January 20, 2012	Great cottages but poorly located Private and Well made cottages 7 i stayed five nights in a cottage (not the annex across the street above the swiss restaurant). the rooms are well designed and the bathrooms are great with super water pressure. the cottages are grouped together with a common sitting area, so a lot depends on the neighbors you happen to have. the french restaurant on the grounds was sold while i was there so will have new management, but hopefully the same good coffee. the staff was extremely friendly and professional, but i was often disturbed by blaring r&b music during the day. also, the cottages are very hot with a fan that is not effective. hopefully oscillating fans will be added soon. pay the extra for air conditioning. keep in mind that for the price, it is very far from the beach, and an unpleasant walk to get there. recommended if comfort and seclusion are more important than beach access.

Couples United States of America, January 18, 2012	Good location and clean room The hotel is just a short walk (5min?) to the beach along a road full of shops and restaurants 7.7 We stayed at this hotel for only one night and would like to have booked for more but they were already fully booked. The location is really nice, but one thing to check is whether you will be in the original rooms or in the new annex. The older rooms looked nicer, though the annex was still clean with nice, basic rooms. Aircon and TV included so hard to complain at this price. Restaurant Tip: The pizza at the Powder Keg restaurant next to the annex is really good!
