Nice place on the beach
Friendly staff. Nice food. Great location.

great rooms and the service is ok.
wifi in every room and also restaurant, too.
great bbq and fruits and drinks are available in the bar, which is just located on the beach.
it is really nice to talk with fri online while dinning in the bar and looking at the sea.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take a boat to the islands around the beach.

Our stay was really nice. They are located right on the beach and really close to almost everything you need. They have a swimming pool and a nice little bar that has a good happy hour. Their restaurant is right on the boardwalk area looking toward the beach. The room had everything you needed and a little more. A comfortable bed, warm shower, and a nice LCD tv. Great place to stay for both divers and non-divers.

I have had a nice time there .I met and be friend with couple from Australia
Beach is nice but there are a lots of boats, mosses and sea urchins .Unlucky for my new friend from Australia she stamped into sea urchin when we were swimming and her toes became swollen so better to swim on the swimming pool
Restaurant Tip:
Try BBQ and rum (phillipine rum is good and cheap )

A very friendly hotel & great service!
Food was not cheap but delicious. Staff were very accomodating. Most guests were families.

i had no problem making arrangements for land transfers and the tours. all staff (the drivers, too) were accommodating, the room was clean and the food was enjoyable. we came in after the typhoon so swimming in the beach was not an option. though, we had a lovely time walking along the shoreline. the pool was small but everyone (couples and kids) had a great time sharing the space. the surrounding areas were safe and secure. there were a lot of restos to choose from. this is a very good place to bring a family for a vacation.
Shopping Tip:
Ask the local drivers were the best buys are. It's best to buy stuffs at each stop. Our drivers gave us great shots of the sights, too.

the resort location is ok, not far from my dive shop. generally ok but the washroom water is salty. besides, i was so unofortunately to have an lizard got in my room. so scary! apart from the lizard, lost horizon's price is reasonable and it has met the service standard.

We were surprised to see a very good and well maintained room when we arrived. We checked in on a modern standard room.It has an LCD TV, mini bar, table and chairs, cabinet. The room and the CR is very clean and presentable. The view from the room is also great. We are on the 3rd floor, with the view of the pool and the ocean. However, they may improve on the service by putting up a phone in the room, so we wont go down anymore when we need something. They also need to improve their customer service by being more polite and not passive. One thing also is to include breakfast in their rates. The location of the place is good but the other side of the beach is better. The front beach has lots of boats parked and has a very small space for swimming and lots of seaweeds. We didnt actually go swimming in Alona beach. The side where the Hennan resort is is better.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
if you're an adventurous type of person, rent a car for self drive, discover the places your own. but bring a map and research ahead. you can actually go to more places with controlling your own time.

Lovely hotel with a view of the sea.

if you're arriving from cebu via ferry ride, then this is the nearest hotel you can stay in, less than 5 minutes from the sea port. it offers a standard clean room with breakfast. transportation is just outside the hotel especially if you plan to travel to panglao island. the bathroom however does not have the amenities that you expect.
