Panglao Island Nature Resort, Bohol

We enjoyed our stay at the PINR. We had a seaview bungalow with jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was great but it would have been nice if someone had cleaned it during our four day visit. By our fourth day the water was turning green. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the music seranade during dinner. The pools were great for small chidlen as the water was shallow enough for them to enjoy the water. We tried to inquire about a room for our nanny with Agoda and the resort directly prior to our visit but were unable to receive any answer (we were told "nothing available"). When I called the resort to ask if they had any small rooms available for our helper they said no and suggested we add another bed to our room (at significant additional expense). When we arrived we realized the room was far too small for two adults, two small children and our nanny. But we were relieved to learn that the resort could arrange a room for our nanny at the Metro Center hotel in town (only 15 minutes away). It would have been nice if we knew this information sooner. The resort is very nice but it still has the feel of a corporate hotel and not a true "nature" resort. The rooms felt like a typical average hotel room (but the deck and seaview more than made up for the mediocre quality of the room). But our impression may have been jaded by staying at the Bohol Bee Farm prior to visiting the PINR. The Bohol Bee Farm is a more authentic "nature resort"
