Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Very nice budget place with friendly staff
close location to pier, clean standard room and hospitable service
8
I chose this place for couple nights stay in Tagbilaran based on good feedback of customers and didn't need to be disappointed. Clean standard rooms and very cosy place overall. Pier is just in walking distance. Hospitality and friendliness of staff easily beat some of 4 star places i stayed in during my trip. Don't forget to buy some very nice placemats made of coconut shell for pasalubong!

Close to pier and city but far from beach
6
I stayed here simply because the hotels in my budget on panglao were given bad reviews... Staying in the city wasnt a bad option, as you can get to panglao quite easily on a jeep for 20 peso... or motobike for 200 at night.
Its a fair price for the room, although was basic, no fridge or safety box but location was good for the city, just near BK mall and atmospher club. Hot water and air con works.
Breakfast was average, but their idea of bacon is terrible

Nice City Guest House
Good to visit Bohol if you wanna avoide the crowded Panglao Island
7.3
NIce Guest House close the the Pier and also close th Bohol Quality Shopping Center. Many good restaurants around and also good Thai Massage near by.
Clean rooms. extremly friendly staff.
The only complain is no internet in the room and the breakfast for a foreigner tourist was horribal. No bread only rice and no tea and coffe only the to sweet 3in 1 teribal...
But all in all just to stay somewhere very fine.

Nice hotel next to Tagbilaran port
Clean room, free breakfast, close to port
9.7
The hotel has a good location - 5 min walk (or 1 min trishaw ride) from Tagbilaran port. Across the road is Palma Street, where there are several motorcycle rentals (400-600 peso per day). With a motorcycle I went to Chocolate Hills, Tarsier Center and Alona Beach in 1 day.
My room is clean, the staffs are great, breakfast & wifi are free (though the wifi is only available in the lobby). The restaurant serves decent food (mainly Filipino, Japanese or Western dishes with rice).
However, the area around the hotel is dark at night, and there is no pavement/sidewalk on the road. As a motorcyclist I had no problem getting around, but as a pedestrian, you should take care walking around at night.

Nice cozy inn with a good location
Room clean and in good condition, good location, friendly staff
8.3
I really liked my two nights at Sun Avenue Tourist Inn. Staff was friendly and helped me with all my needs. Room was clean and in good condition. Location is also good, only few minute tricycle ride from the town and max 10 min from the airport/pier. Nice church next door where I stopped by for a mass one evening after a day of sightseeing. No bells and whistles at the Inn though (pool etc.)

Neat and Clean Hotel
Cleanliness and Staff Friendliness
8.3
I enjoy my stay in Sun Avenue because it's worth the money. It's a budget hotel that gives you a homey kind of feeling. You won't regret staying there because you can just relax after a long day of travel without worrying anything.
Location wise, it's near Tagbilaran port and it's easy to locate. It's just along the highway and signage is clearly readable. SO, don't be deceived by the tricycle drivers from the port that it's too far..the distance is less than a kilometer.
One thing I've noticed is that the scent of their beddings is too strong, not good for those who have allergic rhinitis or have sensitive sense of smell.
Overall rating, hotel is just simple but you'll admire its cleanliness.

Great Place to Stay close to all actions
great ocean view if your room is on roght side, proximmity to swiming pool and Mall
8.7
Very pleasant and friendly stuff. Well run place. I was a bit surprised that I had to pay periodically using my credit card. Seems to indicate distrust of the management. Proximity to city life and swimming pool what you can use for a small fee. Renting scooter costs day but is cheaper in Panglao area (350 peso). Shop for the best currency exchange.
