Great hotel, good prices, good staff.

great hotel / pension house (?) overall. staff was very professional and compliant. on my first day the room i was given had a bit of an insect problem and asked at 1 am (!) if i could get a room change and they complied without any problem. great service !! they even offered to help me. asked them to do my laundry which done in a quick and well manner.
room well furnished albeit old... the beds are on wheels and move if you 'move a lot' during the night. housekeeping professional. when you leave the hotel during the day they ask you if you want to get your room cleaned which they do right away. cool!
included breakfast is decent and the menu rotates so you never eat the same thing.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Tagbilaran is your starting point for Bohol island but be wary: if you want to get to Alona beach, it's a long drive on a motorbike. About 25 minutes. It's fun in the day but at night it's not the safest road in the world. Lot's of police checkpoints on these roads and some of them are out for bribery, so watch yourself.

Pension house with hotel amenities
The rate is very affordable,the staff are approachable, the rooms are very clean and the breakfast meal is very delicious

Vest hotel is a pension house but with hotel amenities. I really enjoyed my stay in Bohol because of the Vest Pension house. I know that at the end of the day I can really rest as well as relax.

I was out during most of my stay. When I was in, the service is acceptable and the room neat and clean. Wireless is too slow by western standard, at best one tenth of the speed I am accustomed to.

my stay was great because i had good time talking with the staff specially with the security guard, if you want massage after long day ask him. hotel was ok, you are in province so dont expect a 5 star amenities, and they are cheaper compare to other hotel. free breakfast is a plus but the place to eat is small so they deliver our breakfast in our room without any charge, over all im satisfied with their customer service.

Excellent budget hotel

Nice hotel for the price. Was met at the airport, which was nice, and taken to the port when I left. Breakfast was okay but a bit small and basic. Had steamed fish one night and that was excellent. The room I had was big, dark, clean and perfectly fine. Not in the centre of town, but given that the centre is a real dump, that's a good thing! It's about a 15 minutes minute walk into town, or 3 minutes to town on a motorbike taxi, and 3 minutes taxi to the big bus station and huge shopping mall. I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and used it as a base to explore Bohol, using mostly buses and jeepneys from the station. I'd stay there again.
Travel tip:
There are regular buses and jeepneys everywhere from the bus station. There was no need to hire a taxi for day trips.

My wife and I spent 8 nights at Vest Pension House and our stay was very comfortable and the food was great. I would recomend the mango float for desert it was so good we had it several times. The staff is very friendly and even watched over some of my stuff that we left outside to dry and let us push a few of the tables togather at night when we wanted to play a game.
Restaurant Tip:
Just a short walk from the hotel is a bbq chicken place that's only $35 pesos per leg. We ate there one day with the tricycle driver who showed it to us for about $150 pesos total.

the staff fetch us the port on time and upon arival at the hotel, the courteous staff welcomed us and pleasantly and assisted us. The place is safe, the room and bathroom is clean.
