Location in the heart of Boracay's White Beach area was great. Also, the room design and overall accomodation was great. The rooms seemed brand new, clean, and nicely placed in this small quaint hotel. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed walking to the bar/front desk area for a morning coffee.

The swimming pool was rather small but who cares when you're a 15 second walk to the beach.

La Villa Sunset was a great hotel and one that I would stay again and highly recommend to travelers considering this hotel. There are higher end, more posh hotels but for the accomodation and staff, you can't beat this hotel. Your money is well spent.

Shopping Tip : Lots of shopping to choose along White Beach. Try one of the evening buffets in the surrounding area. The freshness and wide selection of the food is an incredible bargain.

Location, cleanliness.

Not easy ordering food, dark pathway at night, very small pool.

Overall this is a fine place to stay. German owned, small with only 8 rooms, its both comfortable and clean but showing a few signs of wear and tear around the edges. The location is in the middle of the white beach in station 2 and its about a 15 minute walk to D'Mall and the better eating places. I would stay there again.

Travel tip : Plenty of ladies at Cocamungas for you single guys. Balero for the best Mexican food. Steakhouse for steak and check out the British pub at the D'Mall for good pub grub.

up a lane off the beach

The resort is small but a lovely little resort with only 8 rooms and really friendly staff, the rooms are lovely, there is a small bar and a nice little swimming pool with sunbeds. The resort is up a lane not far from the beach which is well lit at night.

Nightlife Tip : plenty of places for entertainment nearby

Modern hotel, only 12 rooms which makes it more quiet. Internet is free. Close to beach (100 meters). Niec friendly staff speaks English.

Some rooms are right next to pool, I mean right next. Must close curtains for privacy. Short walk to beach. No breakfast included in price. Difficult to access when arriving. Must walk through all the shops with baggage. They dont have much of a kitchen so food must be got elsewhere.

Excellent hotel. Small in size, friendly staff, only 100 meters to beach. Once you are there, it is a great location. Free internet, modern rooms, all amenities are great. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is small, intimate, clean, and extremely friendly staff. The room decor is modern and very neat.

The hotel is not on the beach and it does not have a restaurant.

We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The room was modern, well appointed, and comfortable. The staff is very attentive, very friendly, and willing to share any information. Overall, I would recommend Hotel Villa Sunset to anyone travelling to Boracay. Boracay, in general, is more expensive than other places in the Philippines. This was the most expensive accomodation I had while in the Philippines, but compared to the other places in Boracay, it is reasonable. The issue of the hotel being off the beach is not a big issue for me. It is a very short walk to the beach on a paved ally that is lighted at night. Never did I feel uncomfortable travelling on it. The hotel is near the market, so it provides easy access to souveniers and good food. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, only an outdoor bar by the pool. However, the staff can take your order from a menu that is in the room. They will deliver breakfast to your room from a nearby restaurant if you like. We did this once, but after exploring the beach we found a restaurant nearby that we ate at most of the time. They also offer laundry service and have wifi if you have a laptop. The thing I liked most about this hotel was that it is small, only 8 rooms. This creates an intimate atmosphere and allows the staff to be very attentive. There is always someone on duty. At night there is a security guard that is also very helpful. We stayed in the 3 person family room. It is very big with modern appliances, a kitchen with fridge, hot and cold shower and very good aircon and nice TV. The decor is modern, neat, and the room was very clean. There were three of us and we were very comfortable the entire time. There were no surprises. The information on this website is very accurate. I highly recommend the Hotel Villa Sunset to anyone going to Boracay.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel staff has a list of activities that are available at Boracay. These are the same activities that the vendors on the beach will try to sell you. I found the hotel's negotiated prices to be better than the vendors. We decided to take the island hopping trip for P1500. It was amazing. Our boatman, Reynan, was excellent. He took us to snorkel in the bay on the leeward side of the island. The water was crystal clear, lots of fish with coral on the bottom, and about 3 meters deep. It was beautiful. Then he took us to Crystal Cove, which is a small resort on a small island that is between Boracay and Caticlan. This place was beautiful. There are caves there that open into the ocean. You can climb down into the cave and swim through the cave into the ocean. It is an amazing place. Finally, he took us to jet ski, which we paid extra as prearranged (P1800 for 1/2 hour) and then on to another beach to eat lunch. The experience was scheduled for 3-4 hours, but we ended up staying with him for almost the entire day. He picked us up at 10 and we came home around 4. We were totally exhausted, but really enjoyed the day. Reynan was a very, very good guide. He was only 23 and owned his boat. He is very good at what he does.

Immaculate modern room Modern shower Swimming pool Free wifi in room Good value for money

Not beachfront, though only yards away

Immaculate room, modern throughout, very clean (which is not *always* true of Philippine hotels). Swimming pool, although they only have 8 rooms! So, you have the pool to yourself, and all rooms are literally only a few yards away. Reliable free wifi throughout, room or poolside. Quiet location. Not beachfront, but only 30 seconds' walk away, so all you're missing is not having a view of the sea out of your window

Clean and safe, beautiful well-keeped garden, swimming pools around the hotel, beach frontage, availability of hotel activities, ie. island hopping tours, city tours; Front desk service is excellent and staff are friendly and attentive to customer's needs.

The toilet paper. It is so thin that it's almost impossible to use. Hotel needs to provide better quality toilet paper at least 3 ply rolls.

The best thing about this hotel is when you arrived staff greets you with a big smile on their faces, gives you a welcome drink (very welcoming particularly in a very hot humid day), organise your luggage and show you your room. Personnel at the counter and hotel staff were very helpful and provides most information you require and your needs attended to - nothing seems to be a problem. Will be coming back to bring my family so they can enjoy this hotel as much as my friends and I did. Highly recommended.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : I love the island hopping trip we had organised by the Hotel staff, in particular Felix and his crew. They made this trip so much fun for us three lady musketeers. It was a great day!

- good location - German management - clean rooms - free internet - calm location

Pick up from Caticlan Airport will be charged by person and not by room. Considering the different fees for tricycle, banka, port terminal fee, I think the charge is too high.

The Villa Sunset is a small hotel with only 8 rooms, The rooms are very clean and the furniture is nice and useful. Small clean pool in the garden. Hotel is providing free internet. Food service was not tested as the choices of restaurants near by are unlimited. The hotel is connected to the beach by a very narrow walkway of about 120m length. This kind of back yard location makes your stay a pleasant one, due to the lack of the noise of the bustling beach front. Clean Rooms, nice furniture, friendly personnel. I would take this hotel for my next stay again. With only 8 rooms it gives a familiar atmosphere. German management.

Affordable, clean, close enough to the beach, good service.

They couldn't process any of my credit cards.

As soon as we stepped outside the Caticlan Airport and saw our hotel rep with a professionally printed sign - my name wasn't misspelled - I had a good feeling about Villa Sunset. All throughout the transfer, we were well-taken care of, even though the hotel relied on public transportation, not private vans and boats. I expected this though, considering how much we paid for and the location of the hotel. The trek from the last tricycle stop to the hotel was quite long, and I was a bit disappointed when, after heading towards the beach, we made a U-turn going back inland. I was expecting to see the white sands as I step outside my hotel room door. But I couldn't even see the water from where we finally ended. We were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded for free to a suite because there weren't any other available rooms. (Just wondering though, how that could've happened when we booked our stay months in advance.) With just 8 rooms, I also expected a more personal touch from the staff. We got just that, especially when, on our way back from Station 1, we tried what we thought was a shortcut through D'Talipapa. We got a bit lost, but luckily enough, the same rep who fetched us from the airport saw and recognized us, and guided us all the way back to the hotel. Personal service indeed! We were also afforded an extended check-out since our flight on our last day was not until late in the afternoon.

The room is a bigger than other hotels I lived in Boracay. Hence, I could have table and chairs to put my things. Hair dryer is provided and this is important for a beach resort.

This hotel locates on a narrow side street. Tricycle could not enter and I need to carry my really big bagagge to check-in. Some Mosquito always enter after housing cleaning.

This hotel locates in the station 2 and very close to the wet market (seafood market - D'talipapa). To spend 1-minute walk through the narrow side street (quite and dark at night) will reach the white beach. At the end of the side street, a island hopping company counter is setup for 1-day local tour. The room rate is reasonable for overall facilities. I have lived 3 hotels during my vacation in Boracay and recommend this hotel.

The staff at this hotel was absolutely wonderful!!! They were super friendly, informative, and quick to help us out in any way, shape, or form. The hotel itself was very quaint with a garden-like appearence and a relaxing atmosphere complete with outside bar and swimming pool. It was also a one minute walk to the beach.

There were 2 days where the hot water in the shower didn't work, but being in hot, tropical paradise it wasn't a big deal.

If you ever visit Boracay, STAY HERE!!! The staff at this hotel was absolutely wonderful!!! They were super friendly, informative, and quick to help us out in any way, shape, or form. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You must do the private island tour through the hotel. A day snorkeling, exploring islands, and a boat all to yourself!

Mueothana Germany can not afford the big guy dropped gubihae chimilham: clean bedding, consisting of everything electronics, free wireless internet, friendly staff, fire extinguishers, emergency evacuation routes take care of putting up.

50 meters away from the beach and maybe because of this, but can be quiet.

Remember to stay with this hostel, I want to go back to Boracay. Next time when you're not doing anything this hostel only creature I thought I'd stay for a long time. Reading, meditation and a place is suitable as a thought.
