GREAT ROOM and SERVICE...
MORE FOOD CHOICES AT BREAKFAST
It was indeed an awesome vacation for me since it's been a busy work months and really need to unwind and have pleasure. The service taken from the airport to Caticlan and vice versa was really way cool and did not post any hassle at all with all those charges that could be worrisome.
The staff at the hotel are very helpful and accommodating. I could never say anything at all. Room is really cool with my bathtub bubble bath poses a very relaxing mood.
Food is ok but could be improved with more choices especially the breakfast. Drinks are also alright.
I love the amenities specially the towels provided by the hotel.

would be better if they have more beef choices on their buffet
you get what you paid for. fairly okay room, amenities. good size room. good buffet price but would be better if they have more beef dishes on their bufffet. good beach front though quite a walk if you want to go to station 1. close to the market so you can buy fresh seafoods and just have them cook. fairly okay to good.

Best features of the hotel is the room with very cool bathub and the roundtrip transfers being offered by the hotel from and to the airport.
More features on the buffet food at breakfast.
It was really nice having been booked at La Carmela since from day one that we have arrived, there was a transfer from the airport all the way to the resort and also vice versa in term of going back from the resort to the airport.
Also, the rooms assigned to us was really alright since it has towels (too many to use), nice cable tv, safety deposit box, refrigerator, table with four chairs and the bed was really good as in you could put in four persons there.
Airconditioner was good though I would suggest that a bigger aircon to fill the huge room assigned to us.
The food at the breakfast was superb though would like to see more features in the breakfast menu.
The staff at the reception was really accommodating and have always nice smile and so it the housekeeping staff which accounts for the cleaning of our room and also the request for towels.
So far, I would book again with La Carmela when i return to Boracay.

beach front, basic needs are available at the hotel, even the water dispenser are available at the hallway
food at the buffet table are not filled promptly, often, you found the food tray empty; needs more water dispenser at 2nd floor, i was booked at 204 and i have to either go to 1st floor or 3rd floor just to get the water
in over-all i had a nice stay in la carmela, very strategic location (Station 2, beachfront)and very accomodating personnel
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Near the hotel you'll find nice and affordable dinnet buffets/ shopping for souvenier items/ nice massage/ sight seeing, etc. I'll be back again in Boracay and looking for more competitive discounts promos/ if possible be better if the package includes plane fare already

Two (2) swimming pools, my two (2) younger kids really enjoy. Good food at good price. Proximity to the beach. Courteous staff.
Our rooms are OK, however, it's not as much closer to the beach.
Hotel location is great, it's a beachfront, however, weather condition is not so good during our stay, well it's nature and beyond control. Food is good for nominal price. Two (2) swimming pools that kids would enjoy.Courteous staff. My family enjoys our stay with La Carmela de Boracay and I would highly recommend it to my friends and colleague. Good accomodation at nominal cost.
Restaurant Tip : La Carmela de Boracay offers eat all you can Mongolian B-B-Q. You can check on other hotels if you are looking for sesfoods.

all their rooms are really nice a bit old but reasonable for what your paying! especially when they give you a free upgrade to a junior suite.
asked for the housekeeping to help me with their safe, called 3 times but still have to wait for almost an hour just to come to my room.
really had a nice stay enjoyed the place and the beach only thing is transfer, I emailed to the hotel and booked a trasfer from the airport to their hotel, someone replied and said they already booked me but when i get there i wasn't booked at all it's a good thing that my name was on their manifest and has a sapre seat for one in the van.
Nightlife Tip : definitely guilly's!! in station 1. love their "ICE COLD BEER"

Near the beach. It is nice to have the option of being able to get to the beach in the morning and be able to swim in the pool when the weather is bad. The hotel has friendly atmosphere, the service was excellent. The food was okay.
The bathroom bowl was leaking, although the hotel offered to move us to another room, we stayed because it is only one more day for check out. No wifi connection in the main hotel, you have to go out of the hotel and be near the internet cafe, the fee was reasonable but it is not 24 hours, they close at 10pm. They are strict on swimming pool requirements, my children has bad sunburned skin so my husband put a shirt on them over their bathing suit, but the personnel wanted them out of the pool because it is against the policy of the hotel.
Our stay in La carmela was good. It is near the beach and their is available pool in the hotel. The service was excellent however, my husband got upset on our last day because the swimming personnel wanted my kids out of the pool because they have shirts over them due to severe sun burn. I know that they are only following the hotel policy which I understood. The hotel was clean but you have to call the desk or housekeeping department everyday to clean your room, change linens, put towels because somebody has to be present in the room while they are cleaning. The safe deposit box was not working, the bathroom bowl was leaking, somebody came in but unable to fix the problem and wanted us to move to another room, we decided to stay because we are checking out the next day. There is no internet connection in the main hotel, the wifi only works near inetrnet cade and you have to pay for it. Overall, our stay is good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can negotiate on sightseeing tour with the boatman. It is cheaper to buy foods in the market and have it cooked for you there, rather than eating in the restaurant.

it's a front beach hotel situated in station 2. they have courteous staff. housekeeping is very efficient( if you request additional towels/toiletries, it will be in your room in less than 30 seconds)
its a bit far from station 1.
a good hotel, you got your basic needs in the room like refrigerator, hot/cold shower, restaurant and a bar. as mentioned earlier they have a efficient staff especially in house keeping. cleanliness is observed in the hotel not to mention the good food served in their restaurant. they also provide land and sea transfers from kalibo/caticlan to boracay which is very convenient and would save you about 40 min of your time in lining up and finding land and sea transfers to the wonderful island of boracay
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : though the hotel is a little far from station 1, i will advise you to walk your way from the hotel going to station 1 so you can chose from various restaurants in the island offering affordable yet quality good food. tricycle ride is also availble at the back of the hotel for 50Pesos or less than a dollar. choose from bars in station 1 for cocktail drinks, take my word, they serve better cocktails there. if you have small kids with you and you want to go island hopping, avail of the glass bottom that way both you and your kids can enjoy the under the ocean view in boracay for only 700pesos or 14 dollars per head.

The service is satisfactory especially the transport facilities from the airport to the hotel and vice versa
The drainage in front of the restaurant tends to be smelly. Credit card checks should be done at the front desk in front of the cardholder and NOT taken into the rear office.
The most important aspect of the hotel is the first class service offered by its staff all of whom are extremely well trained and is conducive to a very pleasant stay for customers. All other facilities fall into the same category of excellence. It is a hotel that can be recommended in confidence to others seeking accommodation in Boracay.

near the beach, the rooms were quite comfortable, good value for money.
the breakfast buffet was boring, a bit overcooked and not very satisfying. the pool was too small to accomodate the guests. it needs some cleaning too coz the other pool was still closed due tro some constructions going on.
I have put the sign "pls make up room" before we went out to the beach at 7am. we've been gone for 5 hours just to get back and found the room still untouched.We went out again for another hour to have lunch and still room was not tidied up.I went to the housekeeping and asked why the room was still uncleaned when I have seen her cleaning the room next to us.Housekeeping said they did not see the sign on our door.I got so annoyed coz I even have too move the signage outside the door so that housekeeping could have a good glimpse of it, housekeeping was giving me some excuses instead of just apologizing and doing it.Had to tell her that there's no point of us discussing that now coz we just want the room to be tidied up and be given new set of towels and toilet papers. We had to stay out in the pool area to wait for them to finish with our room before we could take rest. It was very inconvenient coz we got so tired in the morning and the last thing that we would want to do is to sit out again in the heat.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : there are so many shops and restaurants near the area. just a few steps from the beach and the tourist info centre but the main hub which is D'Mall would take you about 10-15 mins. walk.

Close to the beach. More or less good rooms. maybe a little bit loud sometimes but thats considering that the hotel is very popular. Nice staff and overall nice roomservice with very late hours. The view from the balcony was noting to boast about. The overall conclusion is that its a good price for a ok hotel.

pool area, receptionist service, rooms, shower.
The great thing about La Carmela de Boracay Hotel is that it is situated in front of the beach and right smack in the middle of all the action. The buffet breakfast is good for its price. However, the pool area is small and extremely crowded with no place for lounging. The receptionist was not very helpful either when asked questions, though they did allow us to check in when we arrived early at 7am. The rooms are dark, furniture old and shower has low water pressure.

near the beach area, beautiful setting with a swimming pool on the front of the hotel and an elevated patio.
cleanliness and daily supplies of towels and other amenities.
My wife and I stayed at the La Carmela de Borakay hotel during the period 13-16 Mar 09. It took us approximately 1 hour to get to the hotel because we have to take a tricycle to get to the port and then we took a boat ride for approximately 45 minutes to get to the Borakay Island. Once we got to the Island, we rode again on a tricycle to get to our hotel. After we got to the hotel we walked a block or so because ground transportation are not allowed on the premises. Once we got to the hotel, we noticed that there were no air conditioning in the lobby. When we got to the room it was hot and muggy until the air conditioning was turned on in the room. Overall our stay at the hotel was ok. Thank you
