Employees, specially the cleaning people, are very honest and trustworthy.
the free shuttle service should extend to the drop off to the jetty port upon check out.
Except for the additional fee of Php 75 per person that we had to pay for the shuttle service to the jetty port when we checked out, we enjoyed very much our stay at the hotel. I would be recommending it to friends and relatives and would definitely be booking in at the same hotel when I go back to Boracay.

i enjoyed the breakfast but after 4 days it might get too routine. though i didn't use it, the pool (only one on Diniwid) looked like a fun extra, esp for families with kids.
first floor room can be noisy. unless you have one of the half dozen beach/pool facing rooms, your room will not have a view to speak of. NOISY aircon, which despite cool evenings was needed because only one window does not permit a cross breeze.
industrial design; rooms lacks the warmth or charm of the Philippines (this was very disappointing for me so i switched hotels). expect a standard chain-motel-room experience, unless perhaps you are staying in the few beach facing rooms (which are shown on the website). i could not get one.
show me the beach; unfortunately the beach was gone! much to my surprise it seems the beach eroded away in January09. a narrow bamboo terrace now stands where it used to be 20meters of sand. i was told the beach migrates and that it would return again in the peak/wet season starting in April. the upside is you can hear water lapping and the bamboo terrace juts out over the cool, blue Boracay ocean; can be rather lovely after the initial shock wears off.
ample common area facilities; in contrast to the rest of Diniwid Beach, the common area (pool, cabana, patio, etc) offer ample seating and shade to relax. given the beach is gone, shore-side space is limited to a small bamboo terrace and only about a dozen sun chairs (get there early to stake out an umbrella).
Restaurant Tip : grab a bite at Nami cafe up on the hill. good food and great views from up there. prices are not excessive.

Very nice place, beach front, nice staff, quiet location
The Hotel is very nice, the rooms are standard but clean. The location is great: beach front and very quiet. It is a bit far away from the night life but the hotel shuttle is driving you there easily. Nice beach bar and restaurant. Very friendly staff.

Staff was extremely friendly very helpful and polite. Very quiet secluded beach and beautiful small swimming pool.
The room was not very clean and without any facilities eg. hair dryer????, our room was supposed to be the best with the beach front view, they call it suite......We got a room with dirty old bathtub and balcony viewing swimming pool, old clothes wardrobe and plastic cups to drink water. Nothing else really make me feel living like in a suite. About breakfast I can only say that after one week of eating I cannot look at eggs anymore since I had to eat them every day together with bacon.
Restaurant Tip : Great place is Fridays around 15 min walk distance amazing cocktails and buffet dinner every Friday, and Jonah's milkshakes are incredible a little bit further from Fridays.

staff members are very kind.
silent and peaceful place.
can use a free shuttle.
need more various morning meal menu.
sometimes cockroaches are seen(not room but guest lobby).
It's a little bit far from the White Beach, but you can use a free shuttle so it doesn't matter.
It's staff members are very kind so you can feel comfortable.
It's very nice to stay in Microtel Inn Hotel.

Beautiful, newer, beach front location. Welcome greeting when arriving, very friendly staff, very nice rooms for the price. Room rate includes breakfast, nice, quiet away-from-it-all location and free shuttle service to and from D' Mall (where everything is).
Quiet away-from-it-all location (but this is not really a "con" due to the free shuttle service).
This is my second time at this Microtel and I stayed the end of August 2008. The property is about two years old and has nice rooms with a contemporary touch. Great, quiet white-sand beach area, pool, restaurant, etc. Wi-Fi is available for a fee. Located beyond "boat station #1 (just below the Nami hotel) it's mostly away from it "all" as the bulk "everything" is generally located around D' Mall at "boat station #2".
Hotel Feature Tip : Buy a local SIM card (in Manila) for your cell phone. When you arrive on Boracay, take a "tricycle" to D' Mall and call Microtel (036-288-4311) to have the free shuttle pick you up and save 200 pesos. When leaving, Microtel offers "transfers" to the airport for 550 pesos each person. TIP: By using the shuttle to D' Mall, a tricycle to the port, boat and fees, tricycle to the airport for two, I only paid less then 400 pesos for both of us!

Very hot place in May.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Against all advice we went on a boat trip offered by a hawker on the beach, but it was brilliant - we had a whole boat just to ourselves.

I booked a suite, but the suite I was given had a terrible smell and a "patio" of broken concrete, with no views whatsoever. I don't understand how their most expensive room (suite) is in the absolute worst location on the property. We complained and they gave a double room, which did not smell as bad and had a view. No refunds were given to us.
I will not go back there again. I rather stay on White Beach on a better property.

Wonderful... and quiet beach.
breakfast is better to be improved.
What we like Microtel the most is its relatively quiet location. Compared with the other hotels in Boracay beach, this is the place we can really relax and enjoy the weather and ocean view. Of course, the facilities are above average as Microtel standard. And their free transportation is convenient.

Internet environment can be the attitude of good employees
Inadequate air-conditioning not even have a refrigerator
From D 'mall distant, less convenient access, although there are shuttle bus, but the scheduled one hour earlier, inconvenient, and may not be on time, I tried to wait half an hour before a car. I went to the hotels check in on staff have the fragrance into the cold towels, cold drinks and shellfish chain, intimate feel.
Travel tip : Their own car back and forth the best hotel, shuttle bus is very limited.
