Privacy, beach, located next to Shangri-La Resort

Unfinished construction, food not as expected, far from White Sand Beach, expensive transfers to/from White Sand Beach, unexperienced Staff

As a last minute booking, the Panoly was OK. IT is a bit complicated to get in and out of the hotel, the transfers are expensive if not on the regular 2x per day schedule. THe hotel doesn't make it interesting to stay in the hotel versus going to white sand beach for better food, and more variety of restaurants. The staff is unexperienced, we had to ask for our water to be refilled on our room, as well as little things as toilet paper. There is unfinished construction, seemed to be there for a while, and the hotel lacks the little details that would make it great. There is a lot of weeds around the common areas. The hotel location has potential to make it into a memorable stay, but lacks those little details that make other places great.

If you like to be isolated from the rest of the island, then it is an option (but probably not the best one, not much charcater, too much development). Overall there are plenty of other hotels to consider. I ended up there because could not find a room elsewhere during peak season, but escaped after three days.

Nice private beach and swimming pool.

Poor menu selection. Difficult area to reach.

My wife and I stayed at the Panoly Resort Hotel Boracay for our honeymoon. As usual in the PHs the hotel staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful. The hotel restaurant had a nice view; however, the food selection was limited and usually "no stock". The hotel is located at the bottom of a very steep hill and the local tricycle drivers refuse to go down the hill and leave you at the top to walk down the 800 meter driveway.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can arrange a nice pump boat trip for snorkeling and sightseeing to crystal cove at the booth on the beach.

An experience worth not repeating. Guest Rating: 5.7

Hotels in the Philippines especially in Boracay should keep up to a very good standard so that tourists going to our country will come back. I am a Filipino and had been to many countries all over the world & I kind of feel disappointed because I feel we can do better than what we offer tourists now. Capitalize on our natural resources very well.

All in all it was OK. Although for the money I would suggest looking for somewhere else. We were happy because we were not crowded out. If they get things sorted out and refurbish it would be an excellent place to stay. I would definitely check to see if it had improved if we went to Boracay again.
