Generally good all round except that the Puka beach was a bit of letdown in terms of facilities (although the water was crystal clear and unpolluted).

Thumbs up for the infinity pool and the scenery. I love our stay in Alta Vista de Boracay, it's quiet and great option for travelers with younger kids. The all in all service was good and the staffs are accommodating. Our room was excellent, thumbs up for it. Food was good too unlike what others say that it wasn't, the food was okay actually. I'm recommending this hotel to my friends. Although it's far from the white beach, it doesn't matter at all. Thanks Alta Vista.

Hotel positions on a hill with a great view to mountain, gofl course, and the sea at the horizon. when walking to you room, it is look like you are in a nature garden, with flower, bird....nice view fromthe pool
The equipment on hotel is old, no-brand sanitary... no lift to room. far away to white beach (about 20') but have shuttle van every 1 hour.
Travel tip:
-Puka beach just 15 minute walking, very nice, clean beach
-Go to d'lipapa seafood market to try the fresh seafood

it's a great hotel, but too far from s2. service is very good and the bed is comfortable. breakfast is soso but people is very passion. no private beach, only can take reserve shuttle bus to puka beach with 10 min drive. next time maybe i will choose the hotel at s1.

Relaxing, nice view far from the hustle

Very nice hotel for people who need calm, far from the hustle and bustle of White Beach.
10 minutes from the beac, they arrange a shuttle every hour to get there/to D Mall, which makes it very convenient.
Rooms are nice and quite big.
Nice food and excellent service.
One thing negative however: many groups of Asian travelers, which makes the hotel not that quiet and shuttle is always packed with them...
Restaurant Tip:
Good and quality food is hard to find in Boracay - expect bad quality and overpriced seafood grilled and buffet joints....
For something really better and less expensive, try Restaurant Alchemy on White Beach, Station 2, managed by Filipino-British chef Joshua Bootwood. Food is excellent, very fresh and excellent service. The best restaurant in Boracay to me.Also give a try to La Reserve, French restaurant, for the impressive wine list - service is so so though.

Great Hotel with a fantastic view

The hotel is quite old but fairly well maintained. Guests have access to a private Puka Shell beach which is fantastic. The water is clear and great for swimming. There are hotel staff on hand to assist guests. The bus shuttle to the beach is regular and takes about 8 minutes to get to the beach.
The breakfast menu is rather basic and lacking in local fruits. The water melon that was served everyday of our stay tasted rather bland. There were many guests during my stay and the food replenishment was not fast enough to cope with the demand from the guests. The dining place has fantastic view of the sea and the secondary jungle.

my second time to book in alta vista. a great place to stay for a family vacation. with my two kids..they enjoyed everything..they love the loft, love the view. love the hotel service.
Travel tip:
Make a well planned vacation to make your itinerary organized. Advance bookings and reservations is better. Rush schedules sometimes cause conflict...instead of a relaxing and joyful travel.

Great Location, great service and great rooms
The Loft room was the best room ever...

Me and my family had our first vacation to Borcacay and staying at the Alta made the experience superb. The location was ideal for a restful and quite nights away from the noise of the party areas and most of all the Loft room was really superb. Also the infity pool was really a tempting welcome upon checking in at the Reception area and the view behind the infinity pool was just amazing. If I will go back to Boracay I will still stay in the Alta
Travel tip:
When travelling with kids, always make sure that they are safe. In Alta, the bathroom tiles are very slippery as well as the flight of staires to the loft. also the areas near the infinity pool especially after the shower were really very slippery especially when wet...just make sure everyone is safe so as not to spoil the vactation.
