Boat Station 2
Boracay Boat Station 2 is at the center of White Beach, one of the most popular tourist areas in the Philippines. It sits opposite Bulabog Beach on this narrow island and hosts most of the restaurants, bars and entertainment options on White Beach. Hotels in Boat Station 2 are mainly in the three- to four-star range.
White Beach sees the most tourists during the October-to-May high season. As the commercial heart of this nine-kilometer beach, Boat Station 2 is especially busy during the day. While this is not a place to find peace and solitude, it’s a great location for meeting fellow travelers and enjoying the nightlife.
D'Mall is the commercial core of Boat Station 2. This lively collection of boutiques and restaurants is extensive and modern. Shoppers find handicrafts and antiques along with more typical gifts and beach attire. This is also the place to catch live music or to scale an outdoor climbing wall. D’Mall is a mere five-minute walk from Bulabog Beach, where the atmosphere is more relaxed.
Accommodation at Boat Station 2 isn’t quite as upmarket it is at Boat Station 1, but there are still luxury villas and four-star resorts here. Bargains are easier to find here as well, with prices well below those to the north. This especially suits budget travelers and the party crowd.
White Beach is the kind of attraction tourists check into and never leave until their ferry departs. Local dive shops and outfitters champion water sports at White Beach, and visitors are especially fond of snorkeling, diving and windsurfing. Others are just as content to sit in a shaded deck chair with a cocktail while watching acrobatic kite surfers work the sails.
