my first impression was it was a small hotel and it was overrated for its AAA classification. but upon entering the room, you'll see why it is rated AAA. the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is clean with daily replenishment of toiletries. the staff in the cafe are friendly and allowed us to have coffee at 5 a.m. even before the buffet breakfast opened. the pool with jacuzzi is nice and beach towels are available at no extra charge. the only downside is the alley you have to pass before going to the beach. other than that, our stay was perfect.

What's nearby?
- MOUNT LUHO is the highest elevation on Boracay Island with 100 meters above sea level. For the uninitiated, it can be an excruciating ascent going there, but definitely worth the view. Once up there, a little kiosk serves cold water and soft drinks and one can take a rest in one of the hammocks between the trees.
- The SHELL MUSEUM at the Ilig-Iligan beach displays shells from the area and some ancient Chinese artifacts.
- The TIROL HERITAGE MUSEUM at the northern part of the White Beach is a private museum with a display of Chinese artifacts connected to Boracays history and as well an interesting insight into the islands history.

Directions
Boracay Island is an hour's flight south of Manila. The nearest airports are on Aklan island which is just a 15 minute boat ride away from Boracay. All major domestic carriers have flights to one of two airports in Aklan, that being Kalibo, which handles the larger planes, and Caticlan, which is much nearer to the ferry terminal and accomodates smaller aircraft.
