Schönes Hotel mit außergewöhnlich gutem Service

das surfside boracay resort & spa ist ein schönes ruhiges hotel in direkter strandlage. es ist im ruhigeren strandbereich am bootspier 3. trotzdem ist die entfernung zu anderen restaurants und bars für nachtschwärmer nicht weit die zimmer sind sauber und gepflegt. körperpflegeutensilien wie duschbad und zahnbürsten waren vorhanden. handtücher und bettwäsche wurden täglich gewechselt. ungewöhnlich gut ist die sehr persönliche betreuung. hier möchten wir uns bei, der managerin bedanken. der transfer vom flughafen zum hotel, aber auch alles andere wurde von ihr perfekt organisiert. nach unserer ankunft wurden wir sehr freundlich von ihr mit einem begrüßungsgetränk und einer kette willkommen geheißen. das frühstück war bei unserer buchung inklusive. hier war die auswahl zwischen kontinental, american und filipino. das war für uns eine zufriedenstellende auswahl. das restaurant bietet eine ausrichtung auf japanische küche. aber auch philippinische und internationale gerichte sind günstig und gut. im restaurantservice möchte ich besonders hervorheben die sich beide besonders um uns bemüht haben. in der nähe gibt es ein gutes und preiswertes schweizer restaurant für gäste die auch mal europäische küche oder ein weizenbier suchen. es gibt eine vielzahl von wassersportmöglichkeiten um das hotel. für „nur“ strandurlauber ist dieses hotel ebenfalls eine empfehlung. der strand ist feinsandig und sehr sauber. ich reise regelmäßig in die philippinen und wenn ich boracay wieder bereise, werden ich bzw. wir wieder in dieses hotel gehen.
Hotel Feature Tip:
die lage des hotels empfiehlt sich für urlauber die ihre ruhe genießen wollen und etwa 15 minuten zu fuß in kauf nehmen um in die belebtere regionen mit bars und discos zu gelangen.

We stayed only for the weekend. Service was great. People were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, nothing special. But considering the average prices in Boracay, this was the cheapest option right at the beach and therefore good value for money. The hotel is in Boatstation 3 where there are some backpacker hostels but not many bars and restos. It´s perfect for those who are in need of a bit of relaxation rather than partying.
Restaurant Tip:
aria is the best italian restaurant in boracay. it is right at the beach at the end of d´mall

Quiet and relaxing

the place is very quiet and relaxing since it is located at the far end of station 3. nonetheless, it is only a few steps away from the white sand shoreline of boracay. we admire their hotel staff who were very hospitable and friendly.we were offered welcome drinks and tokens upon our arrival and we were sent off all the way to the boat station upon departure. their restaurant offered a variety of oriental and western menus. they also have a spa which offers various nurturing and relaxing services.
Restaurant Tip:
While in Boracay, do not miss "D Talipapa" where you personally choose the fresh catch of the day ranging from Crabs, Lobsters, Prawns, Shrimps, Fish-Blue Marlin & Lapu-lapu, Oyster and have them cooked the way you want it by any of the restaurants around the market.

we've spent pefrect time there. place is really calm and sweet. we've took the best room in the hotel ("a") = furniture is not brand new, but it's made of wooden/nature style and fits boracay perfectly. i can't say that expensive room is recommended, anyway mainly it's used for sleeping etc. but seaview is very good option. also be prepared to spend 15-20 mins walking to d-mall area in case you need some entertaiment.
and for sure - key feature of this hotel is staff. no need to comment, absoulely perfect.
Restaurant Tip:
the cafe in the hotel is very nice place to eat, you can try other places - but we've returned back later . also spa is great.

we could not say more positive things about surfside. from the moment we arrived we were greeted with a fresh juice and warm smiles and the hospitality never waned. the location is smack bang right on the beach practically, so having a delicious dinner or a drink watching the sunset or the stars is a must!
breakfast was very well done and they catered for all tastes. rooms were always clean, well maintained and despite not being as plush as other resorts, there are so many other activities to keep you busy (why stay in a room or need a pool when you have an amazing beach 10m away?)
having their own little private beach area and free towels was a plus also. its also a 20-30 minute walk from d-mall so its a lot quieter and tranquil than further up north of the island which we preferred.
special mention to bebs for her excellent overall service around the restaurant and for helping us find a place to wash our clothes, and to tonton for not only his great hospitality but going that extra mile to help out when i fell sick.
overall we would certainly love to come back one day and would definitely recommend this place to anyone. dont forget to try their excellent spa/relaxtion centre next door too!

The room is not elligant, but it was super clean and absolutely mosquito free. The aircon worked perfectly,so the room was perfectly comfortable, not humid inside the room at all. The staff was extremely friendly, sincere, and appropriately staffed. I want to go back already. This resort is on the south end, but not too far away from the mall. Walking to the mall will take a few, but you are on a beautiful beach. FYI! I am super picky about clean rooms and mosquitos. You do not have to worry about it here, if room N is typical. I was not impressed with my massage, and neither was my wife. We did not have the same person. However, it was acceptable and the spa facilities were excellent. We had a great deal through Agoda. I do not think I would be willing to pay full peak price.

this place was a great start to our trip to boracay. as soon as we arrived we were greeted with complimentary drinks and souvenir necklaces. the staff were friendly and helpful. rooms were very clean and had nice décor to get you into the tropical beach mood. the location of the resort is right at the end of station 1, which was nice and quiet, however if you are looking to go straight from your room to one of the bars/clubs it is a bit of a walk. there are, however, other venues nearby that usually feature acoustic performers.
the price included free breakfast, which was pretty good. we actually discovered that some people from other hotels would come to have their breakfast there. another plus is that it is attached to a beauty spa which makes it convenient if you want to go somewhere to relax away from the beach, but it is expectedly more expensive than the massage ladies on the beach. if you ever need to transfer hotels they will even provide a free shuttle service for you. overall, it was a pleasant stay and the only complaint i heard from my fellow holidaymakers was about the smell of the soap. despite that, i would definitely consider staying there again.
