We arrived in the hotel (hubby, toddler daughter and her nanny) at about 11:30am. I requested via Agoda for an early check-in given that we have a toddler but we were informed that this is not possible since they're still cleaning the rooms. This was quite an inconvenience because of our little one's hyperactivity - she had to change clothes twice in the span of an hour's wait in the hotel's lobby. And we had to change her in the lobby so maybe the receptionist felt for us, she allowed us to check in at 1pm. Another thing that seemed off was that there were no welcome drinks/towels for us when we arrived. I'm not sure if these were given on a subjective basis because other guests were offered - so I don't understand and of course, I did not ask anymore about this. Aside from these early hiccups, our stay went smoothly. I appreciate the staff's assistance in booking our island activities. Another downside though is if you're staying in the lower floors of the hotel (we requested for a ground floor room), your phones will be of no use. There's literally no signal - though they have wifi. What I really like about the room is the huge bed - which allowed my daugher a lot of space for moving around and ensures us she's not going to fall with every movement. Check out went smoothly - compensated for the trouble we experienced checking in. I really recommend this hotel for families with toddlers or babies - no hassle bringing them to the beach and back to the hotel given the proximity. Plus, food and other necessities are also within easy reach since it's located right smack in D'mall.

ever since i really wanted to try the tides hotel until my recent trip to boracay. the room is big however it needs more cleaning (flooring, tub's matting and the split type aircon: physically dirty), electricity is fluctuating that time maybe that's the reason internet speed is slow.
overall its okey.

The Tides is located right in the middle of D'Mall and Station 2 on Boracay. White Beach is a 2 minute walk. Rooms had a chic design and were very modern. Bathroom was large with a great shower. Roof top pool with a bar and club music was really cool and a great escape from the throngs of people at the beach. Bar food was very good. Service was good at front desk; exceptional at the pool/bar. Only two negatives: the hotel is very hard to find the first time. Recommend the hotel post step-by-step instructions for arrival on their website. Also, the 1st floor rooms (facing the interior of the hotel, of course) back-up to a busy walkway. Other guests are incredibly loud and inconsiderate every morning beginning at 6:30 am. You can fix this by either getting a 3rd/4th floor room or requesting an exterior room. Last funny note of interest, we stayed at the Tides for 5 days before ending our vacation at a much more expensive resort, still in Station 2. My girlfriend missed the Tides and wished we had stayed. And it was half of the price! Oh, well. I tried.

Our stay at the tides hotel was quite good. Though it was not beach front it is walking distance to the beach station 2. And is just beside d mall.
Room was cozy clean with a comfortable bed. Breakfast is not a problem since they offer a buffet breakfast which is good. No need to look foran early restaurant to have breakfast. They also offer airport transfer which is convenient. All is good except that wifi is not that strong, we need
To be at the lobby in order to access internet. We will definetely come back.
