Good. WiFi only in main areas. However, airconditioner was loud enough to wake the dead!! Even earplugs were only partially effective in blocking out the noise. And they were using a sledgehammer upstairs to fix the toilet for 4 days. Put me next to the swimming pool so had the noise of screaming kids all the time. A little more thought would have been appropriate. Probably really only a family hotel.

enjoyed our stay but if we were served complimentary breakfast, that will be best! hotel is not by the beach so you have to walk some distance.

Great Hotel! Love everything about it!
Pool, Garden, and Staff are Amazing! Tonglen offers lawn games and a nice BBQ area.

Staff is great and put up with my requests for non scented sheets, as I have allergies. The hotel allowed me to have some of my local friends over for a BBQ and didn't hassle me at all about it, which I really enjoyed. Other hotels, will not allow more than one person to visit you and will make them sign in.
Love the look and feel of the hotel! The rooms are very nice and have a very nice feel to them.

Quite relaxing stay, the place was nice and neat. Staff are approachable and accommodating. Though a bit far from the beach you have to walk at least 5 mins. The walkway is safe so no need to worry during the night. Did not have a chance to try their restaurant. A pool is also available in the hotel so if you don't want to leave the hotel area you can still enjoy swimming.
Restaurant Tip:
Try "d talipapa" you can buy from the market have it cook in the area.

Tonglen has a good feature with big garden areas, with barbecue facilities.We had a party and barbecue by the swimming pool and staff very good.
However, a major problem with the toilet in the room. From day one it would not flush properly and of course became a health hazard.
We asked to move, but they just sent a man with plunger.
Also the air con was very noisy and did not cool the room, and sleeping was a problem in the heat.
After the 8 night holiday, Tonglen did discount some of the charges, but I felt they could have done more.

We did not enjoy our time at the Tonglen. It was far from the beach and we had problems with the water and our toilet kept getting clogged. We do not recommend staying here unless you don't mind walking down a dark, dirty alley to get to the beach.
