Lovely hotel and the room was superb.

initially the staff seemed confused when we arrived. no one seemed to know where reception was and we were lugging our suitcases up and down the stairs in the heat. also the receptionist seemed confused when i handed her my prepaid hotel voucher and she wasn't sure i had already paid or not. later the staff seemed more friendly and were very helpful. however i was surprised that there is no bar/reataurant facilities at the hotel. for such a lovely hotel this was a real shock. food is available but must be ordered in from a take away. drinks are available at reception's fridge. upon leaving i discovered there is no taxi or pick-up service to the airport and so i had to hire a taxi via the hotel which cost php 2,500 even though it cost php 1,250 coming from the airport to the hotel initially. the taxi was superb but i am confused how such a major hotel has not a more professional taxi service. the staff were excellent and did what they could but seemed lost for want of a better word. maybe they don't get too many foreigners. i loved the hotel, the room, the ambience, the decor. anyway these are my genuine comments and i hope i am not over critical. i am well travelled and as you asked me for my comments i am giving you my honest assessment.
