Best Quality for Money in Mactan, Cebu area.
Clean good quality rooms and nice swimming pool
7.3
this hotel was probably the best that we stayed in during our one month trip to the philippines. this does not say a lot for service in the philippines however, which we found to vary between hotels from diabolical to bad. i would rate the service here at fair, as at least the american owner tries to train his staff, albeit he admits that what they learn one day, they have forgotten it by the next.
one of the main problems with the hotel is its location which is neither close to a beach or the cities.on the plus side it is only a short ride in a three wheeler motorcycle taxi to the floating restaurant which is a must to visit for sunset.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Don't miss out on the floating restaurant at Sunset

Nice resort, value for money- no taxis though!
Room nice, food good value, lovely surroundings, staff super
7.3
staff failed to meet us on arrival but paid for a taxi to the resort as way of an apology. our stay was great- don't expect 5* luxury like you'd find at the shangri la- the pool is quite small and there is not a huge amount of room around it though you'll certainly get a seat / lounger. the food was good and inexpensive and the staff happy to cater for every need. there were some minor problems with regards taxis to and from the hotel and the concierge while super polite and helpful, could have perhaps provided us with more information about certain tourist related things as we were new to the philipines. otherwise gret- wouldn't put anyone off going there, especially if looking for a cheap but nice place to relax.
Travel tip:
If struggling to get taxis, take the tuk tuk type ones for 10 pesos to the Gasimo shopping mall where metered taxis are available. Arrange price beforehand if taxis are not metered. Be sure to tip waiters, cabbies etc as they earn a pittance and $1 or 2 for them is a huge help. Lastly, check out Hill Tree Massage in Cebu City but book before you go!

small cozy hotel with friendly staff
7
we checked-in late but we were still able to use the pool since it was open till midnight. The following morning, we went to their resto for breakfast but the hotel's resto staff were said to have not reported for work due to the New Years Eve celebration. The serving of the breakfast was thus delayed but they were very apologetic about it and tried to do their best under the circumstances.
Hotel Feature Tip:
enjoy the ambiance of the place. there are lots of trees. I was warned by my friends that there are lots of mosquitoes, but when we stayed there, the mosquitoes were not bothering us.

Great resort with awesome service
the rooms were large, clean and well cared for. The staff was very accomodating and some went out of their way to help make our stay plesent and enjoyable.
8.7
The resort was very clean, the staff was very friendly, and the location was not too bad. The rooms were a good size, very clean and well cared for. The staff went out of their way to accomadate us during our stay and helped with planning trips to other places. The food was nothing spectacular, and cold at times but it was food. The pool area was a bit small and at times quite crowed but we were not looking to have a 'quiet' trip so it was nice to speak with other foreigners and locals. I would definitly stay at this resort again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
At the back of the resort there is an orphanage which people can volunteer at during the day which we did not find out about until our last night there. Also, I recommend walking into the town/ village just outside of the resort, the people were very friendly and welcoming.

Excellent service and food in the restaurant!
7.7
I stayed here 1 week and was happy with the room, it was basic but clean with comfortable bed, and all you might need, TV was okay.
I really enjoyed the service from the staff in the restaurant, and the food was very good!!
The included breakfast was okay.
The surroundings was not the best (no beach) but it is a good starting point for tours,.... free transport to the beach every morning, and the pool area is okay.
Only downside was slow Wifi in the room (Wifi was always okay in the reception area) and noisy air-condition unit, but i was offered another room with quieter ac.
All in all i was happy with the stay; go here to relax, not to party :-)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The resort arranges tours, ... but why not take a pedaltaxi to the nearby Takan market and have a beer, or spend half a day at Wonderland shooting range.

The management was very helpful for my one night there, but it was very quiet and not near anything else that I could walk to.
