We had a superb stay at this resort. It is well kept by its friendly staff. The beds are very comfortable and no corkage fees should you decide to bring food from the town center!

Highly recommend hotel in Bantayan

I went here with my mom and my sister for 3days and 2nights. Perfect place to relax with your family. A little bit stress to go to the island from cebu city, but it is totally worth it! You'll see the ocean upon entering the restaurant and 3 words coming out from your mouth "WOW"! The staff are nice and friendly and they will welcome you with a cold drinks when you arrive. The food was great, there is a lot of variety. You can get a room service but they will charge you a 10% service charge. The room is okay, clean but the only thing I notice is that you have to ask them to clean your room (which is not a big deal for us). The beach was simply amazing it would have been perfect if they have motorize activities other than island hopping. Overall we had a great time! 5 STAR for me ;-)

Perfect Beach Resort in Bantayan Island..!!!

Usually I don't write reviews, but this time I just have to share my positive experience.
We stayed for a short trip in early April 2013 in Anika Island Resort.
The time in the resort exceeded all our expectations by far! The location and hotel beach are superb. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very nice and clean and the hotel is very nicely integrated into the surroundings of the island.
Overall, I can absolutely recommend the place for everyone who prefers white beaches, crystal clear water and a native surrounding to the busy streets of Cebu. Still, Santa Fe offers some nice bars and restaurants to enjoy the last hours of the day, but don't expect too much night-life going on on this cozy island.
The hotel staff will make you feel like home and arrange everything necessary for you, whether you decide to do some island hopping/snorkeling on Virgin Island (it's a must...!!!), want to rent a scooter to discover the island on your own or do a guided tour etc.
As Bantayan Island is quite far from Cebu/Mactan airport, I recommend you contact the hotel in advance to arrange an airport pick-up to the ferry in Hagnayan and vice versa. The transfer will be more cheap than taking a local taxi and the driver Jimmy is a nice and honest guy and besides also a very safe driver. You can also book him for a very recommendable Cebu sight-seeing trip, same like we did on our last day.
We will definitely come back to Anika Island Resort..!!!

Beautiful beach, but terrible service.

To be honest, First of all, their "ocean view" rooms did view the ocean, but the king-size bed, complete with a cabin-size bed just 2 feet from the king-size, took up any space available. Therefore, there wasn't much space in the room. At all. Not to mention, the rooms weren't complete with a kettle, or any of the snacks or drinks that usually are stocked in the fridge. Why have a fridge when there's nothing in it? Their rules and regulations for their rooms--no laundry, no making food, no noise after 10:00PM, etc. etc.--left my wife and I feeling a bit imprisoned, even though we wouldn't do any of the above mentioned. The food took extremely long to arrive at the restaurant. I mean, does it really take 45 minutes to make 2 salads? The staff were also dismissive at best, and had a bit of a hard time following simple questions and requests.

I personally recommend Anika Island Resort to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing place to stay while on vacation in Bantayan Island. The beach is gorgeous and the cabins (which are recycled cargo containers) are tastefully designed and well-equipped with all the necessary creature comforts one could ask for (comfy beds, air-conditioning, cable LCD TV, clean bath & a furnished patio with a refreshing view of the garden or sea). I can't wait to go back!

I can say that the hotel facilities is excellent.the room is so nice and the staffs are all accommodating.i am not satisfied with the food specially the waffle and pancakes i hope it will improve. The hotel can be much more attractive if there will be a swimming pool.the ambience of the hotel was very relaxing.
