A so-so hotel

we had an overall good stay here but we do have some problems with the hotel-
- breakfast was not that good but it'll do before you hit the busy city
- food in general is overpriced and not good at all
- poor sound proofing, we can hear when the person above our room drags a chair or drop something
saying those, the hotel may seem like a bad place to stay in... but once you get past those flaws, you'll find yourself saying 'the stay was fine'. or maybe it's because i was not being too picky at the time cos i just needed a place stay in for the event i was in cebu for. it's close to shangrila mactan so the location is nice.
Restaurant Tip:
Never eat at be hotel unless it's free, just indulge on the many nice restaurants around the city. There's a nice japanese place called Nonki along the airport road.. And of course, the famous Casa Verde that serves giant ribs at a very cheap price.

I think the buffet breakfast is not that good....have ordered some coconut drink, they don't have it, ordered some ube ice cream & halo halo (a beautiful desert in the Philippines), they don't have it! Not happy with the restaurant although staff are nice!
The charges for car hire is very very expensive....some hotels have special vans to bring you to the city at reasonable cost....
Travel tip:
I will recommend Shangrila, though it is quite expensive but you will be happy with the service & there are loads of activities you can do over there

Be Resorts Mactan has nice interiors and room was quite spacious but service in their restaurants was bad specifically during breakfast. It takes at least 40 minutes for your order to be served and food was not up to par with other resorts in the area. It was also swamped with people in the daytime and pool was quite dirty. Check-in and check-out was a breeze though.
Travel tip:
Just eat at the restaurant of Abaca Resort, which is just beside Be Resorts. The food at Abaca was to die for and service was fantastic.

apart from the above pros, the hotel needs to replace their fleet of sheets/towels as these were pretty worn out. they seemed to run out of the drinks/foods which was on their menu which the wait staff seemed quite embarassed to have to ask us to order an alternative a few times. the included breakfast was nothing to write home about either.

There were many koreans here.
I think 90% of guests are korean.
Staffs are very nice.
But, its far from cebu city.
Im not a member of group tour, so transportation is not convenient.

Clean and tidy resort but not convenience to go the city. Many flies in the cafe when having breakfast. Nice swimming pool but the small beach is not suitable for swimming at all. Reasonable price and nice staff. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to stay for the next time.
