Picture perfect beach but poor housekeeping

The resort is lovely. My room was directly on the beautiful beach. The shore was cleaned every morning which was great. I can't stress enough how nice the resort and the beach are. However, we had several problems too... Firstly, the room was not clean. The bed sheets were not inviting and we could not use the towels provided. I am not a picky traveler but the accommodation was poor. On the first day our toilet broke down but the staff quickly fixed it. Then the shower broke down but again the staff quickly fixed it. We did have ants in the room but you would expect this being on the beach. With a better housekeeping this resort has a high potential. But beaware the resort is further away from santa fe town. For peace and quiet is perfect.

I like it that they maintain the cleanliness of the beach. Everything is quaint and simple, nothing fancy - which was exactly how a beach getaway should be. If you want a budget friendly, laid back vacation, Beach Placid is the place to go. Alice beach was spectacular! We are definitely coming back.

Total nightmare.
9 square meter room plus 2 square meter dirty CR/toilet. No storage for clothes, broken aircon, leaking shower and sink, we had to check out the next day it was so bad, and never got a refund for the remaining 5 days. Owner was too scared to confront us about the poor condition of the Resort, never showed up.

We stayed there for 5 days but finally 2 or 3 would be enough otherwise you will feel bored very quickly, except if your sole pleasure is to do nothing on the beach or go to restaurant with menu designed for westerner tourists. Of course you can rent tour of the island or in a boat...but that's it. Our room in front of the beach was obviously the more basic that they have with not touch of decoration. If you are willing to go there I suggest you choose the non-front beach bungalow more charming. Our AC was turning with the sound of a BOING plane motor with not effective cool. They is no room cleaning service.

i was extremely disappointed with the room and the staff of the resort. the cottages that they advertise are very small and have no tv, or phone. there was no table in the room. the bed and pillows were as hard as rocks. nobody from the staff made any effort to see if we were comfortable and didnt clean the room. my gf was so disappointed we left early, when i told the girl at the front desk that we are leaving early, she asked why and i told her, she seemed to be uneffected by my comments. i also talked to some local people who said lots of people have complained about this resort. i would suggest that agoda take a second look about advertising this resort on there site.

Beautiful Sunrise
It is very close to the pier, therefore very accessible. It is right by the white sandy beach, great place to relax. Friendly staff makes my stay extremely enjoyable.

The room is a little run down and pretty basic. There isn't enough water pressure in the shower, and the hot shower is luke warm at best. Ants could be found in the room, therefore a little irritating. The aircon was really noisy, but was working alright.
I've booked the beach front room, therefore it is step out of my room and right onto the beach. I could sit on the bench just outside my room to watch the sunrise. It was really lay back and relax place, with really friendly staff. lovely tropical paradise.

We had a great time at the Beach Placid Resort. The staff is amazing (seriously everyone remembers your name), the rooms are fun, and the location is insane. The only downside is the bed is a little small and the pillows are really big, which can be a little uncomfortable. But truthfully, how can you complain about having a bed and pillow! Anyways, if you want to go to a place where there are no worries or cares, the Beach Placid Resort is it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Rent some bicycles and just explore the island. You'll see some things that you'll never forget.
