We cut our trip short b one day to move on to Singapore but our short stay here was enjoyable. the hotel is clean and friendly and in a good location although the road outside is dark at night so best not wander around too late at night. The breakfast was basic but good (watch out as they try to charge you for additional items like orange juice). Overall a great cheap place to stay and it is very clean with friendly staff.

We originally booked the Deluxe room but they bumped us to family room. The staff was very very courteous and genuinely friendly. You get to feel like you're part of their family and that you're part owner of the house. It definitely set my standards for bed and breakfast high.:)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Ask the staff to write down the jeepney codes so you know which jeep to take for getting around the city. List down the places you wanna visit and show it to the staff so they can give you directions.

casa escano is a centrally located bed and breakfast in cebu. easily reachable by jeepneys. a 5 minute or less walk to the capitol. jeeps go direct to ayala and to the sto nino church. the restaurant offers delicious food. rooms are big and aircon is cold!!!

Restaurants can be found at the corner of J Avila.

i travelled with my friends/officemates to cebu end of feb2011 and booked this hotel for our 1-night stay in the city. i must say, it was a nice stay, we loved the room, the breakfast setting and all. i will stay again in this hotel when i come to the queen city of the south

Always free and avaiable and easily use WiFi in only a restaurant, not your room. Why it is good? because U may not use WiFi even though other hotels provide free WiFi because technical problems.

If u say this hotel name to taxi drivers. Many drivers may not know it well so they will lose a way finding this hotel. If it happens, say Vacation hotel to a taxi driver because it is easy to pronounce and a taxy driver knows the location of Vacation hotel well. Vacation hotel is oppposite to this hotel.
Superior has three really very small beds on which one person can really sleep. Not more than two. It could be posssible but u must feel uncomfortable. Also again three beds, one or two are useless.
Rooms are clean.
Families seem to be main customers.
Nightlife Tip:
Mango squares has many clubs where gays and filipinos who try to fish u due to money or deceive u in your hotel.
Robinson mall is a just normal and rather small shopping mall and does not provide many things like somthing special for foreigners.
These malls above are not really near but u can walk to get there. It may take 5 ~ 10 mins on foot.
U had better go to Ayala which is just 5 mins away by a taxi, 40~50 peso.

Free wifi is a big draw, otherwise just mediocre

There was inadequate lighting, the rooms are old and run down, and the facilities could be cleaner. There wasn't even a telephone in the room. The desk that was supposed to be in the room was tiny, and the television was ancient. However, the free, reliable wifi was a huge bonus. So if you can deal with the trade-off, then it's an okay place to stay. Breakfast was good, but the servers are unclear as to how much of the breakfast is included with your room costs. I asked clearly on the first day what is in our included breakfast, and the server said "All." But when I ordered a juice and coffee, and my travel partner also ordered two items off the menu, we were charged at checkout for those items. So beware of that.
Location also seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. There weren't any attractions or shopping places nearby. We had a friend who picked us up, but otherwise, you would have to cab it to where you want to go.

出迎えてくれたスタッフが、とても親切で丁寧でよかったです。アジアのリーズナブルな宿で、こんなに素敵な笑顔で日本のサービス業くらい丁寧に対応してくれるスタッフがいるのかとやや驚いてしまいました。1日しか宿泊しませんでしたが、またぜひ泊まりたいと思います。
Shopping Tip:
近くにロビンソンズというショッピングモールがあって、地下に大きなスーパーがあるのでお土産を買うのに便利です。

ご飯がとても美味しかった。レストランの料理は高級料理的なクオリティーだが価格が安く大満足。部屋も綺麗で、タオルの交換について環境を配慮したコメントもあり好印象。スタッフもいつも笑顔でとても親切だった。
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
女性２人旅、薄暗くなると近距離の外出でもタクシーを利用するようホテルのスタッフに言われた。基本的にみな笑顔で感じがよいが、セブシティーの治安はあまりよいとは言えないかもしれない。危ない目にあうことはなかったが。

スタッフはいつでも笑顔で、素敵なレストランで朝食が楽しめます。

マニラからセブへ行ったので、マニラに比べてとても静かでリラックスできた。
大きいホテルと違い、スタッフも親しみやすく、朝食もおいしかった。
ひとつだけ残念なのは、ホットシャワー付きだったが、少し暖かい水のような温度だった。
また、セブに行く時は泊まりたいと思う。

近くにはホテル、レストランが多く、長期滞在ならいろんなレストランに言ってみたいと思った。
