Great location, great staff and good food.

N/A.

The place to stay at Cebu City. The hotel has a great location, just along the side of Ayala Shopping Center, where you can find just about anything. Rooms are just spacious enough, great value for the price.

Travel tip : Free Wi-Fi just outside the hotel lobby, by the pool. Wi-Fi almost anywhere in the Ayala Shopping Center.

security-very helpfull staff, clean hotel, next door to ayala shopping mall.great live music every night.

internet charges excessive, also to print anything in business centre very very expensive, not sure why.

this was the best hotel of my holiday booked through agodaa,i stayed at about 7 hotels in various countrys, the marriot being far superior. i liked everything, the rooms were huge and clean, they had safe deposit boxes, great showers, real good tv stations, great nightly entertainment down by the pool area, bar staff were so friendly, waitresses were so polite and good at their jobs, all staff seemed to be very professional, this hotel is located right next door to the ayala mall,it has restaurants from all different countries, clothes shops, supermarkets etc, security at the hotel is very good standard and they care about their guests alot, the bell boys were great, everyone there always saying hello, asking how you are,i really enjoyed my stay and will most definatley stay there again soon.i highly recomend the marriot hotel.

Shopping Tip : to use internet just go to ant coffe shop in ayala mall buy coffee, and use internet there for free.

Hotel is in a good location for shopping,

Room servicing needs to be consistent, there was something wrong with my room every day of my stay, sometimes no towels, sometimes no coffee or drinking water. Internet is VERY expensive as is room service menu, what they dont tell you on the room service menu is that you also have 2 extra charges on top of the price of your food

I was very disappointed with my overall stay in the Marriott, i expected a much better service from a wordwide hotel chain. Checking out took around 45 minutes, first of all the girl tried to charge me for the room i explained thet it was already paid for so she went to call someone to check that i was telling the truth even though she was holding my hotel voucher in her hand!!! Eventually got that sorted out, thn she presented me with another bill which was alos wrong as it said i had consumed many items from the mini bar, i explained that this was impossible as the mini bar had been empty since i arrived so how could i drink whats not there? Im very disappointed with their total lack of professionalism and i wouldnt reccomend anyone to stay here.

Very comfy Cental location Good securrity

Breakfast a little exxpensive

This hotel is a good little oasis in Cebu. Lets face it Cebu city is not pretty. After 10 days in Bohol we just wanted to rest up in comfort. The Marriot was perfect for that. The Hotel is adjacent ( part of the complex really ) to the glizy new Ayala shopping Mall. The whole area is clean and modern. The hotel staff are friendly.Business centre and food is what you expect form a 4-5 star hotel...expensive. Thats not a problem as its a little stroll to the Mall for breakfast and emails. Rooms are clean and comfortable as they should be and room service has midnight snacks which are great for some in room late night dinning... all in all a good little spot when passing thru Cebu.

Right next to Ayala so you can walk over for shopping and food.

Breakfast and the net. Crazy prices on room service.

Breakfast is expensive and extra. The internet isn't included and is also overpriced. You can go to Ayala and get free internet but pay through the nose to use it in your room. Other hotels in Cebu include both breakfast and the net in the price. Better hotels at a better price are available. On leaving I heard someone complaining that they had paid for breakfast down stairs only because they hadn't been told it was included on the executive floor he was staying on. He questioned why he wasn't told it was included but sold the downstairs breakfast. He paid for both. The hotel appears to be after every cent from their customers.

Staff so friendly and helpful. Food great. Swimming pool, evening BBQ and live music .... fantastic! Room very comfortable, large and clean. Choice of bed types.

The only disadvantage is distance from the airport - about 25 minutes by taxi. Not really a problem.

The Marriott is indeed the #1 hotel in Cebu. I was so impressed and really enjoyed my 8 day stay here. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Food great and reasonable priced for a luxury hotel. Swimming pool, evening BBQ and live music .... fantastic! Room very comfortable, large and clean. Next door to the upmarket Ayala Mall whivh boasts excellent shopping and a wide variety of good restaurants. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel !!

Travel tip : Excellent girl vocal band "Femme Aura" play here at the poolside stage in the evenings - dont miss!

Newly renovated rooms, excellent location (Ayala mall), reasonable service but not great

Rooms a little small for 4/5 stars in Asia, service can improve - esp. when required to resolve unexpected issues. Breakfast very expensive.

The hotel has renovated rooms, which are nice although a bit small and blant in design and lacking some standard amenities. Overall it's a good 4/5 stars with eveything you can expect from Marriott. The loby and all public spaces are very nice. Breakfast buffet very good in choices and quality, but way too expensive. The location is very good, right next to Ayala mall and the Terraces, where you can find just about any kind of restaurant (out of 30 or so). Service can improve however. They do try to be nice but not always helpful in actually resolving the problem. Maintenance guy that was sent to the room was actually rude and did not help at all. There was no follow-up and eventually I had to contact shift supervisor. Concierge was knowledagble but had kind of an "attitude". All in all its a very decent choice in Cebu.

Restaurant Tip : Go eat at the Ayala mall's Terraces

Its location which is within easy access to a huge shopping complex.

This is a reliable hotel although it is not meant as resort for people who just wish to have the setting and proximity to water sports. There are occasional signs of wear and tear in the room although it is basically tidy and spacious.

The staff are friendly particularly those in the hotel's own cafe. The hotel pays special attention to guests' security, e.g. use of elevators is activated only by guests' room cards, and I understand the hotel is specific about the taxi drivers offering services to its guests to ensure their safety (those drivers who are normally known to the concierge, and room number of passengers recorded by hotel staff upon guests getting onto a taxi). The hotel's connection to the Ayala Center virtually means excellent "ancillary" facilities in the form of the variety of shops and eateries. Note, though, the covered walkway to the complex is not open until 10 AM.

Travel tip : Like other parts in the Philippines, taxi fares remain a talking point for most visitors as it is not unusual for taxi drivers to impose a surcharge over and above the meter. However, in my personal opinion, the drivers here(and indeed the people) in Cebu are already much friendlier than some of those in Manila. For a first-time visitor, it is better to visit certain spots of interest accompanied by a local.

Built in walk way that connects it to Ayala Mall. Rooms are big and clean. The beds are very comfortable. The hotel staff is very helpful, friendly, and goes out of their way to make the guest happy. The fitness center is nice for a hotel fitness center with new equipment and enough of it to get a good CIRCUIT TRAINING workout.

Internet is expensive. Food at the hotel is expensive.

I've done a little traveling in the last few years and this is the best hotel I've stayed in for the price. I got the room for $80 a night on Agoda and that saved me a lot of money. The hotel is located next to Ayala Mall and has a walkway built that connect the two places. Security is everywhere which gives you a safe feeling. The hotel is so clean and the staff super friendly and helpful. I will stay here again.

Travel tip : If you want to save money, walk to Ayala Mall and eat in the food court! However, the breakfast at the hotel is worth the money you spend because a single serving will easily feed 2 people.

location is accessible to everything very good customer service

swimming pool is small

Marriott Hotel upgraded their rooms since the last time I stayed a few years ago. Customer service has always been good even before; their staff are very courteous and I'm glad that they have upgraded to keep up with the new hotels within the area. I like staying at Marriott Hotel because it is accessible to most places; especially the mall and good restaurants are just walking distance an I do not have to worry about getting a ride to these places that I go to all the time. I will stay at Marriott Hotel again in my next visit to Cebu City.

Hotel Feature Tip : Marriott Hotel gives their guests pointers on the highlights and services they offer such as spa, breakfast, etc. and also the accessibility of very good restaurants, and shopping needs.

My husband and I went to Cebu for a business meeting and this was our first visit in Cebu I am really happy that I chose Marriott Hotel to stay into because their room is really nice and clean. The staffs are all friendly and accomodating. Their Filipino breakfast is really delicious specially the beef tapa. Our second night is a fun drinking till 12am to the nearby mall. The staff are very warm and accommodating especially the reception staffs. We checked in 2 hrs earlier due to early flight to Cebu and they accommodated our luggage. We left it at the counter to have lunch at nearby Ayala Center. The proximity to Ayala center mall is a big plus. The interior and different light settings (especially the adjustable bed reading light) are very nice.

The rain shower is really great, but the water collected (since this is in the bath tub) is not drained easily.

Our 3 nights stay at Marriott Hotel has been very enjoyable because of warm hotel staff and it's proximity to Ayala Center. The hotel facilities are good - a night drink at the lounge overlooking the pool with night performances are both relaxing and cozy. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet spread as it serves Cebu's very own crispy danggit. "Budbod" is something that i will add in to the list of a must-have food in my next Cebu trip.

Shopping Tip : Marriott is the best place to stay if you're planning to shop in Ayala or SM.

Nice rooms for an expensive hotel, convenient walking distance to Ayala Mall.

Way too overpriced: the food and even the wifi and also all other services.

The lobby is modern but not really grand. It is just like any typical Marriott Hotel here in the US. The room rates do not include breakfast and their breakfast is too expensive for the selection of food. I don't understand why they charge so much for internet service per hour. Other five star hotels charge way less than they do.

Shopping Tip : Walking distance to the mall, convenient if shopping is all you want.
