Value for money, nice pool, quiet place, clean surroundings, though the Beach area is smaller from the ones in Boracay - still okay.. :) Big bathroom, 24-hr security guard near cottage rooms, friendly and accomodating staff pool is open until 9pm only, pricey resto food when compared to microtel which is also a 3 star hotel in cebu, guests of the registered guests can use the amenities with additional fee unlike in microtel - they don't charge use of pool If you want to be free from the hustle and bustle of Manila, this is the best place for relaxation. You just have to be wise enough to buy food or dine outside cos the food inside the hotel is too pricey compare to the other (3 star) hotels in Cebu. Best for solo traveller/couples or family with kids..
Restaurant Tip : Better eat outside the hotel, for quick meal preparation (roasted baby back ribs/barbeque/roasted chicken) you may cross the other side of the street - Kito's grill they serve yummy roasted ribs.. Super cheap price... :)

excellent facility, wonderful environment, and rooms are awesome. excellent aquatic activities. not so good customer service, unfriendly, and unattentive. Lack of control of employees, and grounds keepers have little respect for couples privacy. Wife was getting a massage at the resorts only facility which is outside of the room and the grounds keepers had to be told by myself the husband to be more respectful. Very selective with the type of service they give. Also, everything is highly over priced. though the resort is beautiful and they offer some good aquatic activities for the amount of money that I spent for the duration of 5 days I would not waste my money on an insensative resort.

Friendly staff, decent beach, sizeable room, lush greenery on resort itself. Some distance to town (as with most beach resorts in Cebu) This resort is great if one wants a beach setting that is well tended.
The gardens are lush and trimmed, the koi ponds have abundant life in them and the staff friendly and helpful.
Travel to town takes around 40 to 50 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Use the second (new) bridge and save some time on the journey.
Hotel Feature Tip : Koi ponds are great if you like this sort of thing. Resort has two decently sized pools and scuba tryouts.

Everyone was so friendly. There were a good range of tours and watersports - we were the only ones on our tour as we were here mid-week which was excellent! The fresh bbq each night was fantastic with plently of seafood and meat. Both pools were lovely and the sun loungers were very comfy. The room was quite tired and we thought we would have a view or balcony, but the room was very big and there was a great outdoor area to read and play board games etc. The breakfast was a bit repetitive and could have been healthier. Also, take your insect repellent as I got eaten alive! Overall this hotel was excellent value. The total bill for all the extras was so reasonable considering the amount we did. It was very relaxing and the boat tour was great and we were able to snorkel. I would definitely recommend this place as it wasn't too crowded and was nice and clean and friendly.
Travel tip : Go for the bbq food as it is much fresher and tastier than the a la carte.

good bargain for a beach-side resort. friendly staff. comfortable rooms and restaurants. unable to handle guest's request flexibly. we had a pleasant stay for 4D3N here on a diving trip till the day we check-out. We checked-out at 7am and then went to our dive shop. After knowing our dive schedule was cancelled, we returned to the resort at 9am to see if the hotel could allow us to stay at our room till 12nn (the official check-out time). The front desk manager apparently couldnt handle this with flexibility and emphasized it's hotel policy. we're desperately disappointed since we've stayed for 3 nites already. Finally with a dozens phone-calls to the senior management and stuff, they allowd us to use the room till 12nn but that was 10:15am.
Travel tip : if you check out early in the morning, don't do it officially. Just place your key to the front desk and tell them to check-out for you if you dun return by 12nn.

Large swimming pools, immaculate grounds, good size room, good breakfast, obliging staff.
Have stayed here before, and White Sands offers a very nice manicured grounds, huge main pool - a smaller facility overall than the Hilton etc further along the island, but immaculate. We enjoyed eating out in the adjacent resto's along the road outside the resort which offered good food, and very affordable.
Restaurant Tip : Resto's just over the road outside front gate - very good value

white sandbeach resort is not the best resort in cebu, but one of the best place where we can take a rest nice place to take a rest, friendly staff
in my opinion, this resort is better than maribago resort which is more expensive

cleanliness friendly staff very helpful tidy grounds and gardens good security to the management and staff at whie sands both my wife and i felt very welcome and the service and food excellent we were always greeted with smiling faces nothing was a problem we will most definatly stay again in the future i would recomend your hotel very highly to anyone traveling to cebu

We had a quick stay for one night and must say we payed to much compared with the service we got. Staff was polite but only when given tip's where they interested in helping you. My advice is go down south on the island where there is les people and the beaches are nice.

just opposite the hotel, a few Korean restaurants there, good taste for the one with BBQ
next to the hotel, the bluewater hotel has good value seafood so no need to go to floating restaurant where they charge unreasonable high price

this hotel is perfect for anyone who enjoys excellence and quietness. this hotel has no weaknesses I haved staied at resorts in 25 different countries all over the world.Cebu White Sands is the best priced as well as one of the best resorts i have ever stayed in/the food was exceptional,service excellent,wonderful setting,quite and relaxing.i am going to cebu in october for 2 weeks and staing there the whole time.5 star.

Staffs are very nice, helpful and friendly at White Sand. This is the best thing of this hotel. Pool is very big, nice and beautiful. Breakfast is buffet style from 6am to 10am. Green environment in hotel is good. You can have lots of beautiful pictures with those trees and flowers.
Toilet is dirty and with lots of ants and insects. For me, cleaniness of toilet of a hotel is very important. I am afraid of insects much. Must improve in this aspect. Overall cleaniness of the room must be improved. Beach is small, if you want to have a white and long beach area outside hotel, it is not the one. Only one restaurant in hotel and not enough variety of foods for choice. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Local tour at Bohol Island arranged by hotel is great. With transportation from hotel to pier to Bohol Island and back to hotel including lunch at Loboc RIver Cruise. With private tour guide for the whole trip. P5050/ person for the tour provided by hotel. Kayaking p350/ hour (2 persons) at White Sand beach. Hotel transportation is not free of charge. But you can still make the hotel transportation reservation if you like. Someone would pick you up at airport. It takes around 30mins from Mactan Island to Cebu City and if arriving Ayala Plaza, it takes 45mins, SM City 35Mins by taxi (P250). Massage (Hot stone therapy P1000/ person) is nice. Massager will come to your room. Must book it in advance. Must try the very special Maribago Grill Restaurant just 5mins walking distance from hotel.

It is not too large hotel but just enough size to have good staffs. They are all good and kind to make us feel first class. Rooms are very clean but , I guess that is how it is in cebu. very good food in the morning, lunch and dinner. If you want to gain weight, this is the place. Hahaha....They provide all kind of activities and it was so good to have hotel staff come with us. so we can have good time. Piano music was very nice add to our dinner. LIke to see internet in each room, also did not work very well on at lobby or restaurant. We should ave good reception there, I carry two computers and both of them did not work and all of sudden, it started working at late afternoon. it is very important that we have easy access to internet. It is great place to take family so I took entire family of 9 people and two 5 year old kids. We all enjoied at swiming pool. it has shallow area for kids and deep area. And also enjoyed beach too. It is little small but very exclusive clean beach. Pool side is good but vlla side has great KOI fish collection and let you feed them. Again, Kids enjoyed and be able to touch KOI fish is unforgetable memory for kids and all of us. Great place. I really enjoyed.
Hotel Feature Tip : Taxi is very good way to get around the island and it is very inexpensive, in addition to what sand hotel add some other hotel dinning to add some variety.

Clean / beautiful / nice staff / high security the beach is little bit too small.... It is a quite beautiful hotel, with a nice swimming pool and smiling staff. The security is high coz when you going or coming back to the hotel, the security guard does check yr room no. to ensure that you really live in. If you need a taxi, the guard will help to get a taxi for you, and copy all the tax info such as driver license, car plate, and will give you those info. So, the taxi driver will not cheat you as well. Though the hotel is a bit old, it is very clean.

Good Location along Mactan Main Road, Good Food with reasonable price, Big Rooms Beach area is so small just like any mactan resort Cebu White Sands is ideally located for those who want to stay in Mactan, Cebu. Swimming Pool is good enough but the beach area is so small. The hotel restaurant is so cozy at night. Bedroom is good but the bathroom needs a little updating.
