Location, security, garden environment. Shower doors leak and flooded bathroom! A very welcoming resort hotel, with friendly helpful staff and a great pool area with attractive gardens. Beach is small but perfectly adequate. High sense of security. Rooms are to a good standard, but no coffee making facilities. Buffet breakfast and food generally is to a good standard with a lot of variety. The price we paid through Agoda was reasonable, but the standard hotel rate is too high.

Nice rooms with good pool areas, good breakfast and very kind staff. Clean and feels secure. The beach is not that good. Besides that, i like it. This was my second stay at white sands and the resort was bigger now with a new nice pool. Its a good place to stay and the price was quite ok. Nice staff and good service, its good value for money. Its not far from the airport and if you like good seafood to nice price go to restaurant majestic.

I liked the beautiful grounds, the ocean view, the friendliness of the staff. The room care and amenities were rather absent-minded, although well-intended. My stay at the White Sands Hotel was pleasant though ill-timed. It is situated by a public beach and it was during the week preceding Christmas, with all-night loud screaming and drum-beating parties, in which a good time was had by all except people trying to sleep.
The ocean view was good, the beach OK but small; I always felt safe. The swimming pools were good, and the kids seemed to enjoy themselves very much.
The food was tolerable, and served by a friendly staff. The transportation provided by the hotel is very expensive compared with other hotels. I discovered that the taxi system in Cebu is no-system. Just go with the flow.
My room was commodious, and the bed was comfortable except for the terrible foam-rubber pillows. Amenities were minimal. A safe was provided.
Unfortunately I left my cell phone in the room. I haven't heard anything from them. Fortunately, I had it canceled as soon as I got back to Taiwan. I don't know what could be expected in a case like this.
Internet access was available in the lobby much of the time.
Shopping Tip : The SM shopping mall is good for general shopping with an impressive array of shops. It is about an hour away from the hotel during Christmas traffic.

absolutely very friendly and helpful staff, especially the front desk. All employees were busy to arrange a pleasant stay for me. If there were celebration or functions in the hotel, some facilities were closed for the normal guests, like beach bar, pool.
Breakfast doesn`t reflect international standard.
I found many times difficulty to get a taxi.
It was not possible to purchase cigarettes in the whole hotel.
Cost benefit ratio is o.k
The staff is very friendly, the employees at the front desk are always busy to help and support, and they have excellent language skills. The employees in the restaurant are very friendly, and always busy to offer a good service.
the rooms are clean and spacious enough. the pool is excellent, the beach a disaster.
The celebrations and functions of local people are to the disadvantage of the guests, cause many facilities are closed at this time.
The breakfast is boring, if you stay for a long time in the resort, and doesn`t reflect international standard. It is idea-less.
I missed a bar. there were a restaurant, you could have drinks everywhere, but there were no bar. It was not possible to purchase cigarettes in the hotel.

The place is nice, and the resturant has a good selection. Very impress with the breakfast buffet, very good food and it's free!! Also free WIFI, for those laptop people. Yes, its away from Ayala and SM the mall. And sometimes the taxi driver will not drive to that resort at night because its to far away. Usually, you have to give an additional 100 pesos. Hotel Feature Tip : The Pool is nice and where you can sit and get a tan because the resort is small it gives you a lot of privacy. The service is good, you can order food and drinks, and stand-by the the pool side.

Nice setting, professional bartender- Serge.
Good food. Poor food service when groups at hotel.
No understanding from front desk clerk regarding poor service. The hotel is quiet and pleasant. The coy pond, the pools and the restaurant are well maintained and the staff, especially Serge, was generally friendly. Our simple sushi dinner took over an hour to deliver and when I complained to the front desk, I got an excuse, not an apology or an offer for satisfaction or remedy. An excuse that there is a large dinner party does not satisfy my expactations as a paying customer/guest. The food and beverage manager had to intervene and finally provided some satisfaction. Although he was quite professional, it should have never come to that. The front desk clerk did not show sensitivity or common sense.

the beach are not beautiful and small.
Room arrangement are bad. We book 2 rooms together, but they separate us in different floor. They have ice and hot coffee but they say don't have ice coffee.
The room in the ground floor are too many ants.
The swimming pool are good but when in weekend, too many local customer come to enjoy the pools also.
The hotel food are not so good, so we go out to have meal every time.

Very nice pool area and park area, Restaurant was excelent too Cleanliness of the Bathroom The staff was very friendly and service was always available. The pool and garden area is done very nice and the ambiance of the second building is done very nice.
Possibilities of Diving, tours etc are available but were not be done by us.
The bathroom could be cleaner.

Rooms, restaurants, very good.
Staff were always friendly and helpful. The beach was disappointing, far too small and oily from to many boats. I would definitely stay here again, because of the quiet and pleasant atmosphere. The grounds were very beautiful with many lovely trees, bridges over streams, and a very nice old fashioned horse drawn carriage which made for a very nice photograph area.
Another feature was the Koi carp pond outside the rooms in the new building.
All in all, a great place to stay.

high prices for activities (e.g. diving). I booked a standard room for two nights in the Cebu White Sands Hotel. The room was nice and clean, I also had a balcony. The bathroom wasn't great, the shower didn't work well and neither the flush in the toilet. Because it was low season, there was lots of noisy construction work in the hotel which was a bit annoying. They have access to the beach, but it's not really recommended to go there as lots of locals try to sell boat trips, etc. That's why most people stay at the pool. The pool is very nice as well as the restaurant. Food is good. I was not happy with the prices for activities.
Hotel Feature Tip : I recommended to bring a laptop as the hotel has WiFi (for free) in the restaurant. The internet use at their computer is quite expensive.

Everything is great in this hotel! We didn't find anything that we don't like about this Hotel. We've stayed in this Hotel a lot! We love to come back here every time we visit Cebu. They have the best staff, very nice and friendly. The surroundings are very well maintained, pool is huge! big and clean rooms and bathrooms. The food is great. It is very close to the Airport too.It is a great good value for your money. We definitely recommend this Hotel!
