The staff here are all good and nice for all guests and the room are not expensive!
It's a nice place to stay!!!* The bed has some ants on it! The resort provide me a comfort environment to stay..although the beach is so small that we cannot do anything..but the view is not bad!
If you want to find a place to chat with your friends, the restaurants provide you a romance feeling and you can enjoy the pool view nearby!
It really match the ambience of it..It you want to go Cebu..White Sand is a good choice for you to stay here for relaxing.
The massage of it is also quite nice..and I try two times.!
The staffs are well serviced to here for helping you anything you want!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you need to go SM city...it really need to go by taxi..No other choices!

POND FULL OF VERY HEALTHY FISH I enjoy my stay, ecologically friendly with its very nice landscape. The pond with fish help ease away all the tentions and anxiety that a guest felt. The staff are well accommodating, they let me feel at home. Food are well served, the ponds, pools and the beach are beautiful. In general i like to go back and stay again.

Great Place - Great People They Say no food, ect - you can bring water and chips - I understand them -- they just dont want you ordering pizza and staying there!
As stated beachfront is small - but better than a sidewalk view! We really enjoyed the resort. Very affrodable - just not a cheap feeling. They have some rules, but just go there and relax. Great Breakfast Buffet with partial service (fresh eggs, bacon, meats, coffee). Tip the staff 15% like you should and you will get recognized - 20% and you will get 5 star service! Great Relaxing Place!!
Hotel Feature Tip : For 2000 ($40) peso - they had a Romantic Package - well worth it - app - entree - wine - atmosphere - service - on the beach! - would be 100s in USA!

Beautiful setting in a convienant location Bathroom was very dated. Most of the outlets are 220. The single 110 outlet in the bathroom did not work. The White Sands Hotel has beautiful grounds. The staff was helpful and friendly with one exception. The pool attendant argued with me regarding the number of towels I had taken, apparently you are charged for more than one per person. Although it was a mistake his attitude was somewhat disconcerting. The room was nicely decorated with the exception of the bathroom which was very dated. Housekeeping was average at best.
Travel tip : Be sure to ask for an electrical adapter as most outlets are 220.

staff concern and competence,room service was fast and dependable charging for food and beverages brought in from the outside of resort.The beach and harbour are small and a little crowded. My wife and I spent a relaxing weekend during the last halloween.This is our 3rd stay in the last year.We have a business on Mactan Island and know the area and the resorts in the area well.We choose White Sands for a number of reasons.The staff is always kind and friendly.Being foreigners means we kind of stick out and we are always remembered and appreciated.The atmosphere is relaxing and the property is very well maintained.The food is always hot,fresh and delicious.As mentioned earlier,my lovely wife and I can usually get away for a day or two.I think it would be wonderful to stay a week or two and do some island hopping and diving.The clientelle has an international flavor that is also sprinkled with the native Filipino's.To close I would say the staff and management are the biggest reason for staying.I also appreciate Agoda.com and being able to receive instant confirmation on my bookings.I would and will stay at White Sands again.

Super nice pool area and the grounds are like a park Strict with food and drinks This place looks good and the rooms are nice. The staff didnt really make me feel welcome. I showed up a few hours before check-in with a large family so i could use the pool. I didnt realize i would have to pay for a day use fee on all 8 family members. It was 500 pesos but you got 200 credits at the bar so not too bad. The room was awesome with a pool view. The beach is nice for getting a tan but not swimming, its about shin deep at high tide. They do have a dive shop on site and snorkeling but didnt get a chance to try it. Tried to get some towels at the pool but couldn't get any without a room number so i had to wait till check in time, 2pm. Couldn't get served at the pool either, had to repeatedly go to the dining room bar to order drinks. You cant bring in outside food or drinks to your room, and they barely let me bring 2 beers and 2 bottles of water from a shop across the street. They really wanna make money off you at these beach resorts, compared to the hotels in town. I think all the beach places in this side of Mactan are like that though. Not sure about nightlife the main road seems busy so im sure you could find a coffee shop or something nearby. Next next time i will just find a nice hotel in town with a nice pool, unless you just really want to try the diving or snorkeling the beach is not worth it. Very peaceful place though for couples. Super close to the airport to but about a 45min drive if you want to go to town, a few spots the traffic is realy bad.

Nice and quite surrounding. Security was good. Cannot bring outside food.We ordered fish n chips but serving was very small. White Sands Maribago Bay Hotel has a wonderful surroundings and perfect gateway for those who likes to enjoyed a quite and peaceful atmosphere. As for a muslim travelers like me had a difficulties for a Halal buffet breakfast in the hotel. We have rely on breads and cereal. The hotel is slightly far from the shopping malls. But taking meter taxi outside is cheaper than from the hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip : Taxi outside the hotel is cheaper than call for a taxi from hotel.

Facility was clean and the rooms are conducive. I was even upgraded to a bigger room as a complimentary. Food was nice but compared to nearby Hotels it was a little bit expensive. The stay overall was great and the facilities are nice. The swimming pools are nice and the rooms are conducive. Food selections and price must be improved. Restaurants nearby serves better and cheaper foods.
Restaurant Tip : Nearby restaurants that is a walking distance away from the Hotel serves good and cheap food.

Very friendly hotel, small and cozy. You cannot swim at the beach in front of the hotel, it's very small and too many seaweed etc. Overall the experience in White Sands is ok. A small hotel but the staff are all very friendly. It's not like other commercial hotels where everything is really crowded.
Rooms are clean except I found the bathroom a little dark and dirty.
The hotel offers local tours, although we had a small problem with the organization, eventually the hotel was able to compensate us which I thought was acceptable.

Excellent double bed - Actually a small beach is not a problem, but it was quite disgusting that it is full of seaweed.
- Only soup is provided for bath.
This resort was rather small and its beach and swimming pool was a bit dirty. Their beach really gave me a bad impression. It just like no one would stay at their beach.
I do satisfy with its room. But being a 4-star resort, it was quite unreasonable of not providing shower gel.
Nevertheless, their double bed was really comfortable and big that was so impressed.
Hotel Feature Tip : Pay more effort on cleaning the beach and swimming pool.

Beautiful grounds. Great Koi Ponds, and nice pool areas. Nice rooms, Nice beach, but you need to understand that Mactan beaches are for laying in a beach chair under a palm tree, not for swimming. Nice staff. Nice buffet breakfast. Free internet near the lobby/restaurant. A few mosquitos, but that is unavoidable in a tropical environment. My first dinner at the hotel was not good, although not unfairly priced. A couple of the younger staff members wanted to give my girlfriend a private swim lesson at night, which I put a quick stop to. They did ask her to ask me if it was ok however. You are away from shopping. There is only one very overpriced korean convenience store near the hotel, so you are pretty much stuck buying most of what you need at hotel restaurant or mini bar, or making a shopping run using a taxi. Very nice relaxing place to stay. I enjoyed the grounds and the staff were very gracious. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. After a somewhat disappointing first dinner, we ate across the street at a little hole-in-wall bbq place across the street (Kitos?) that served delicious pork and chicken at a ridiculously inexpensive price.
Travel tip : Always ask for a metered taxi. I had read other reports of taxis being difficult to deal with, but the ones called from the hotel gave us no problems. The resport's food pricing is not unreasonable, but for a change of place, and if you like tasty local filipino bbq, save a 1000P or so, and have a dinner or lunch at the little bbq fast food place across the street (to the left past the taxis) from the main entrance.

A pleasant resort with lovely pools and gardens. The beach is tiny and the sea is not very clean. We had a lovely two day stay at this hotel and found it very good value for money. The room was big and bright, with a lovely view of the pool. The bathroom was starting to look a bit tired but still clean. The grounds and the pools are a particular feature and we especially liked that one pool was for adults only. The staff were all friendly although we were surprised when one of the pool attendants tried to sell us a boat trip! Not appreciated when you are trying to relax by the pool. Other than that though, a very relaxing stay.
Restaurant Tip : A couple of really nice, cheap resturants, a couple of minutes walk from the hotel.

Reasonable price. very expensive island hopping tour,
beach is small and sands are not "white" at all Price is reasonable compare to other resorts. Staff are really nice and caring. They are really helpful when you ask for help. Hotel environment is relaxing and quiet with a nice koi pond.
However, the beach is too small and the sands there are not "white". Would rather swim in the swimming pool.
Food in the hotel restaurant is ok. However, the aquatic sports are very expensive. If you are interested in joining island hopping tour, simply leave the hotel and walk around, many people will approach you to offer you a much cheaper tour.
