Having stayed in many of the resorts in Mactan, I can say that this is the most classy, professional and relaxing resort I have stayed in so far. It's a rather small, but exclusive resort. The landscaping is excellent. The resort is beautifully decorated with flowers, palm trees, fish ponds, lanterns. The buildings are well maintained and designed and decorated down to perfection. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. Luxurious and classy are two words that spring to mind when trying to describe this resort. And the staff have the skills to match this. They were very professional. Especially did we enjoy the excellent service in the restaurant. You really get the impression that the staff have had good training in service and etiquette. They made us feel like royalties with their polite, quiet and respectful manners. There are two swimming pools in this resort. One big lagoon overlooking the beachfront. And then there is also one smaller pool. Each pool also has a jacuzzi. The lagoon was excellent and we spent most of our time here. The beachfront is not so wide, but the sand stretches way back into the resort, all the way up to the swimming pool. It`s a nice place to relax. The sand was white and clean and you could actualy walk a good stretch out in the water before the sand started to get murky. The beach didn`t really invite you to take a swim, but it was nice to just walk out knee deep in the water and enjoy the beautiful view of the sea. Unlike some other resorts, people trying to sell boatrides and jetski were not allowed on the resorts premises. There were however a couple of guys hanging out next to the resorts beachfront, shouting to get your attention. However, it was easy to just ignore them. I have been to resorts where these people actualy walk around on the beach, practicaly harassing you. It was refreshing not having to endure this here.
Very beautiful and classy resort. Nice and relaxing ambience. High standard of facilities. Clean and tidy. Very good service. Professional staff. Very good value for money. Free and excellent breakfast. Nice swimming pool. Small but nice beachfront. Good location right next to main road. Family friendly.
The restaurant didn't have adobo or pizza in their menu.
White Sands Resort was...Okay.

The White Sands resort is all right so long as you buy through Agoda and know what to expect. Your expectations will probably be different depending upon where it is you come from. For reference, I come from North America. If I had paid "sticker price" for this hotel ($175 from their web-site), I would have been extremely disappointed. That said, when compared to other resorts in its category in Cebu, White Sands is probably the best one. The koi ponds were a great touch, and the staff was friendly and responsive. Some other areas, however, could use improvement. The food selection could be widened to include more Western style choices, particularly in the morning at breakfast. The quality of food and price were okay for the most part. I was really surprised that the hotel does not provide comforters for the beds. Only sheets are available, a big minus for me. Also the pillows are made from some sort of foam that is really too hard and blocky. Noise is a bit of a factor as well. Even though we stayed in the courtyard area, which is ostensibly a quiet and serene place, workers cleaning the adults-only pool outside could be heard chatting loudly between 6 and 7 am every morning. Hawkers at the beach can be a nuisance, but you're likely to get that no matter where you stay. In the end, it boils down to this: You're in the Philippines. It is a global south country with all the attendant problems of such, and you need to keep that in mind. You are not in Europe or North America, nor even Japan or Thailand. If you remember all of that, and set your expectations accordingly, you'll likely do okay at Cebu White Sands.
The koi ponds were really very nice and relaxing and the staff was friendly and responsive. The pool/pool deck is big and nice, although it could do with a more thorough cleaning (the water was a bit murky).
The food needs improvement, as does the bedding.
- Restaurant Tip : When dining at the hotel, if you like spicy food, try the Mild Chicken Curry. It's not mild, but it's pretty tasty!

I have been stay at the hotel for 3 days. I have stayed at both deluxe and standard room type.
For the deluxe room which with garden view, that have a big room and tidy washroom. Outside the room, there is fish pond with many carbs. and chairs are provided around the pool so that you can watch it in a relaxing mood and spend your time. Water of the swimming pool is clean.
Great swimming pool with bamboo-made chair in the water. You can just sun bath a few step from your room. Nice breakfast and staff.
Toothbrush is not provided. Not enough shampoo and body wash if two people are staying for two days. Small beach.
- Restaurant Tip : The bar of hotel is located near the beach. So nice drinking beer with an excellent night time view.
good place for relax

Overall it is good, but it's not convenient if you want to go shopping or dining. Since the location is far from city, taxi is the fastest and safety way going outside. Beware of dishonest taxi driver, confirm the fee before you go(by meter, any extra charge, currency...etc.)
Staff & room service is very good. Dinner(grill) is cheap and delicious.
Hotel areas are small, swimming pool also, facilities are not much.
Very nice resort

Overall a very nice resort, a must see is all the fish in the ponds-very spectacular. The meals we ate at the resort were very average like as if they had been reheated pre-prepared meals. Vans and taxis from the hotel are to expensive, we found walking out to the street and catching a taxi there was less than half the hotel charge.
Good service, friendly staff, nice relaxing atmosphere.
Meals were very average like pre-prepared not freshly cooked. Hotel buses/taxis too expensive.
- Restaurant Tip : Dine out

My family enjoyed the place. Its totally relaxing and enjoyable. The food is excellent too. They even have cultural shows and barbecue by the beachfront on weekends. I just love the place that's why I keep coming back to it
Peace and quiet is all I can say about this resort. I actually stayed twice in the span of two weeks. Although it doesn't really have a "beach" (looks man made and ugly to look at during low tides), the large pool makes up for it. I spent half of my time in the pool. Its great for kids because the deepest portion goes down to 5 feet deep.
The low end of it is the food prices. Yes the food was good, but the bill leaves a bad aftertaste. If they'd lower the price, it'd be all worth it even more.
But still, I"ll come back to this resort again.
It is in a great location, Beachfront Hotel with great service. if ever you are in cebu go tothis hotel. Way better than Shagrila at a great price
Food price needs to be lowered
A nice suprise

Great little resort for couples and very friendly guests and staff. The food was great and so were the cocktails. The value and prices were great for the food, drinks, rooms, and the massage. The water activities and island tours were too pricey and I would go elsewhere for them. I really do like the resort's desire and efforts to keep its guest safe. They really do provide a safe and secure environment. I do wish they would provide a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport like all the other resorts.
Great little resort with very clean and spacious rooms. Great and courteous staff and very attentive to all of the guests needs. The food was great. The facilities were great. I highly recommend the massage service. The price for the massage was under $20 for an hour.
Pricey water activities and island tours. They offer rental jet skis but very expensive. Their prices reflect those of a tourist trap and a desire to siphon your hard-earned Dollars. So consider going elsewhere to book your extra-curricular activities.
To expensive

As usual all beach hotels in cebu are 50% overpriced. Its cuz 90% of their guests are koreans and they pay every price without complaining. The stuff performance was excellent, the kitchen excellent, the hotelgarden excellent but why to the hell there are only balconies in the cheap standard rooms. All expensive villa rooms have no balcony, so I would never ever book a villa room again in this hotel.
nice garden, wonderful pools with yacuzzi, big rooms.
disgusting beach, very small, also not clean, water pipelines (maybe dirty water) u can see from the ghotel going to the ocean on the beach.U will sit next to that pipelines. Unbelievable for me was, that I booked the expensive courtyard villa room and got no balcony and the cheap standard rooms all have balcony. Stuff told me all expensive room have no balcony. So who will understand that ??
Nice place to stay but needs some improvements

Our stay with Cebu White Sands Hotel can be rated as Good.
Except for a few and minor improvements on the choice of food in the restaurant and room condition, i believe that this hotel is one of the best in the area.
The staff are nice and friendly. The cleanliness of swimming pool and the surroundings is of high standards. The overall ambiance is fabulous.
I still suggest though that they make a lot of improvements on the beach area to attract more tourist and local customers.
I definitely would recommend this hotel.
Nice and friendly staff.
Clean swimming pool and nice landscape.
The breakfast service is good.
The room where we stayed needs a lot of renovation to make it similar to the one my friends stayed at, which is a lot bigger, brighter and modern.
The food at the restaurant should have more variety to choose from. They should also be consistent with the taste.
The beach part should be improved so that it should look more inviting and healthy to swim at. The beach looks very small and there is not much room to walk into.
- Restaurant Tip : We got bored with the foods at the hotel so we decided to look for a restaurant.
There are quite a number of resto around but we tried Maribago Grill (you can go by foot--don't be fooled by the jeepneys and tricycle drivers) where they served mostly grilled foods and Filipino dishes. The best is the chicken sisig. Try it yourself.
