Small cozy hotel
Very friendly hotel, small and cozy.

Overall the experience in White Sands is ok. A small hotel but the staff are all very friendly. It's not like other commercial hotels where everything is really crowded.
Rooms are clean except I found the bathroom a little dark and dirty.
The hotel offers local tours, although we had a small problem with the organization, eventually the hotel was able to compensate us which I thought was acceptable.

This resort was rather small and its beach and swimming pool was a bit dirty. Their beach really gave me a bad impression. It just like no one would stay at their beach.
I do satisfy with its room. But being a 4-star resort, it was quite unreasonable of not providing shower gel.
Nevertheless, their double bed was really comfortable and big that was so impressed.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Pay more effort on cleaning the beach and swimming pool.

White Sands...a relaxing place to stay...
Beautiful grounds. Great Koi Ponds, and nice pool areas. Nice rooms, Nice beach, but you need to understand that Mactan beaches are for laying in a beach chair under a palm tree, not for swimming. Nice staff. Nice buffet breakfast. Free internet near the lobby/restaurant.

Very nice relaxing place to stay. I enjoyed the grounds and the staff were very gracious. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. After a somewhat disappointing first dinner, we ate across the street at a little hole-in-wall bbq place across the street (Kitos?) that served delicious pork and chicken at a ridiculously inexpensive price.
Travel tip:
Always ask for a metered taxi. I had read other reports of taxis being difficult to deal with, but the ones called from the hotel gave us no problems. The resport's food pricing is not unreasonable, but for a change of place, and if you like tasty local filipino bbq, save a 1000P or so, and have a dinner or lunch at the little bbq fast food place across the street (to the left past the taxis) from the main entrance.

A cozy resort.
A pleasant resort with lovely pools and gardens.

We had a lovely two day stay at this hotel and found it very good value for money. The room was big and bright, with a lovely view of the pool. The bathroom was starting to look a bit tired but still clean. The grounds and the pools are a particular feature and we especially liked that one pool was for adults only. The staff were all friendly although we were surprised when one of the pool attendants tried to sell us a boat trip! Not appreciated when you are trying to relax by the pool. Other than that though, a very relaxing stay.
Restaurant Tip:
A couple of really nice, cheap resturants, a couple of minutes walk from the hotel.

Worth going
Swimming pools and Koi pond are beautiful.

Price is reasonable compare to other resorts. Staff are really nice and caring. They are really helpful when you ask for help. Hotel environment is relaxing and quiet with a nice koi pond.
However, the beach is too small and the sands there are not "white". Would rather swim in the swimming pool.
Food in the hotel restaurant is ok. However, the aquatic sports are very expensive. If you are interested in joining island hopping tour, simply leave the hotel and walk around, many people will approach you to offer you a much cheaper tour.

landscape gardens, pool table, chess board, lovely swimming pool and amazing fish pond makes for relaxing time

good resort. when u step outside there are lots of ppl hassling you for tours, massage etc. its also a bit far away from everything like most resorts. however there is a fab resturant close by. dont eat in their resturant - the food is not great and expensive for what you get.
Restaurant Tip:
forget the name of the resturant, but there is a fab one within 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. also check out the jungle bar. they have great performances including a fire eating ladyboy!

Two days in paradise
Great breakfast menu, super location, fantastic setting, excellent value! Close to the airport and the City proper.

This was my second visit to the Maribago White Sands Resort, and I enjoyed this stay as much as I did my first stay in 2008. The staff is very competent and friendly. The grounds are maintained well, and the two swimming pools are always clean and inviting. The setting on the Olango Strait is breathtaking, and the beach is impeccably maintained. A new and highly recommended addition since my last stay is the availability of a variety of massage therapy sessions. My wife did the massage with additional facial and she loved it. The immediate neighborhood has an excellent variety of services, restaurants, stores, a pharmacy, and even a small public market. On-site security is excellent. Transportation is readily available through metered taxi and motorized tricycabs.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Food is an excellent value whether eating in the dining area or ordering for in the room service.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY...
STAFF = Friendly staff. Prompt and attentive.
ROOM = Good Room. Room was clean. Air Con worked nice.
Dining = free breakfast is good. Happy hour drinks well worth it.
Pool = nice pool. Good for kids and adults.

Very pleased with my stay at this hotel. Would I stay here again? Yes. Service is outstanding which made it whole experience very positive.
Massage services are wonderful.

My girlfriend & I had a great stay there, lots of thing to do at resort, like, island hopping, scuba
diving, snorceling,ocean walking,jet sking,parasailing, swimming in two nice pools.
We relaxed in the jacuzzi & on the beach, thier rooms are big & comfortable,they also have a nice outside bar to relax in after the days play.
Thier breakfast buffe is really good lots of food to pick from, thier dinners at night are awesome.
Are three day stay was very satisfing,Also the employes there are helpful & very friendly, thanks Agoda. Steven A. McCullough

the service is gd; the day of arrival is my gf BD, they offer a small cake for surprise which is quite warm and out of my expectation. the staff is helpful and polite. u can always find their smiling face. the restaurant is just pass. overall the hotel is acceptable
